if the Redskins are so bad how is his poor play on him.  Maybe he'd do better with someone who doesn't play soft zone all the time

The Redskins are so bad, and he’s been part of it.  Opposing QBs target him, a guy brought here to shut down a side of the field.  It’s always possible he could fit better elsewhere, but nobody is going to compensate us for the chance of that.

Especially with how bad his contract is.

and now there's reports that teams (colts, ravens) have inquired about Ryan Kerrigan and the team is saying he's off limits.  This, of course, validates everybody's opinion here that they might dump their trash (norman) to appear involved, but remained clueless to their own position in the NFL when it comes to players that might have some decent value (kerrigan, t. williams)

In other words, talk (from B. Allen once a year) is cheap.  Actions speak louder than words and this organization continues to prove that either

1. They are too stupid to realize where they are as an organization now and in the immediate future

2. They have no interest whatsoever in building a future winner

plus we're only half way through the season and he's missed a game or two, and people said they should have traded him this offseason.  That's not enough time for a complete 180 on someone.  If he is untradeable and it's worthy of mockery to even discuss it now, it was true then too

Kerrigan's value to the Skins is greater than potential return

Report: Redskins willing to trade Josh Norman, if anybody will take him

Apparently there is one player the Redskins are willing to trade: Josh Norman. The problem is there isn't exactly a robust trade market for a soon to be 32-year-old cornerback with a $15 million price tag.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported: "Veteran defensive backs with big contracts such as T.J. Carrie of the Browns, Reshad Jones of the Dolphins, Josh Norman of the Redskins and Janoris Jenkins of the Giants are among those being shopped. If they are dealt, it's unlikely it will be for much given the age and contract."

I think the main benefit that the Redskins would get in trading Norman is that they would save about $5 million in salary that they could roll over to next year.  So, even if there isn't much offered in terms of compensation, the cap room is worth more than having Norman for the rest of this season.

This whole cherade is the equivalent of the neighborhood-wide garage sale that you participate in just so the neighbors don't think you're not social and you setup in your driveway with a table that has one item on it:

This is an oddly specific and unique analogy

This team is always late when moving on from players. Should have done this last offseason. Trade him, Kerrigan, and any other aging players with value to teams that are willing to take them.

Always? We moved on from Fuller, Breeland, smith pretty early and now they're pro bowl good.

Should have been gone last year. He's deteriorated at an incredible rate.

Morons run this club.

you yourself just declared he deteriorated at an INCREDIBLE rate.  Should the people who run the team expect the players to deteriorate at incredible rates

You’re right, the are just terribly unlucky with nearly everything they touch.  Dan and Bruce just keep fumbling mirrors and black cats keep crossing their path.

$ can always be worked out in the offseason.  They also could have dangled Norman for trade before last season but they had already given up Fuller for Alex.  It’s been obvious that this dude at a minimum, doesn’t work here, for a long time.  Teams don’t have a ton of cap space to way overpay for him now.  If they do find a partner, I’d bet the Skins still have to eat $.

Again, with more term and his salary, why would a team take Norman instead of Fuller? Makes absolutely no sense.

Fuller is playing NB again, and Moreland looks to have some potential there. Even if he doesn't lock it down, we're replacing a 3rd corner with some injury history.

Which part is not likely?  Trent coming to terms with the Redskins or the moron Bruce falling on his sword?

Trent coming to terms.

Bruce will get the boot at the end of this season - even he has said this is a results business. Dan fired Cerrato when no one thought it was possible. If they finish with a top pick, it'll have to happen to 'win' back the fans.

It’s been a results oriented business for his entire 10 year career in DC.  His record has been bad.  But he has hung on.  He isn’t going anywhere.  He and the midget are smarter than we are and will figure this out. Just chill.  It may take 20-30 years.

luck has nothing to do with anything I said.  Should the Skins expect their players just to collapse after any season

Should they have expected an aging player who's been in decline for at least two years to decline further? No, you're right, no one could have possibly seen that coming. Not even Bruce Allen, Super Genius.
