Fun fact for this game, Tom Brady was teased a bunch last year due to the fact it took like 18 seasons for him to get the career milestone of 1,000 rushing yards.  He finished the season with 1,003 career rushing yards.  

 

However, he has -3 rushing yards this year, and now has exactly 1,000 career rushing yards.  So, the Redskins have an opportunity to take him down a peg this week.

Patriots are allowing an average of 6.8 points per game. Their defense is on pace to set NFL records for sacks and interceptions. Redskins rank 28th in league in yards per game, 29th in the league on 3rd down conversions, and 28th in scoring. Could be ugly, and will be. Colt McCoy starts the game and manages to get the Redskins 3 points. He also gets sacked a few times and throws a couple of picks. Haskins starts the second half with the Redskins trailing 30-3. Showing improvement, Haskins overcomes an early INT to lead the Redskins to a garbage time touchdown. This means that the Redskins beat the scoring average, but the Patriots still coast to a 44-10 win.

I'll throw this stat in this thread.

7, 3rd down conversions given up all year?  Seems like we give up 7, 3rd down conversions a half!

 

The Patriots defense has more turnovers [10] than 3rd down conversions they’ve allowed, [7]. Overall, the Patriots defense has been outstanding on 3rd down [7-52, 13 percent].

The Patriots D has looked great, granted they haven't faced a good offense yet but the Skins offense is putrid so they have nothing to fear.  Brady got bullied last week by the Bills D which has people saying he's starting to look his age.  This will be a classic Brady "shut the doubters up" game against Manusky's D.

Jay has yet to name a starter at QB because he is messing with the Patriots ability to gameplan.

 

I predict he suits up and takes the field himself on Sunday to ensure his offense is run correctly for the first time in 6 years.  New England's defense is hopelessly mystified by the unlimited fade routes thrown at them and Brady is forced into a shootout just to stay even.

 

We beat the Pats on a QB sneak where Gruden uses Chris Thompson as a fullback up the middle, stepping over his broken body for a last minute score. 

 

Jay lips double birds to the crowd, pops open some Coors lights, then runs over to Belichick and pinches his nipple (the internationally recognized gesture to show a coach how much you respect them).

 

Dan spends all of the next week basking in the glow of victory that undoes 20 years of bad karma in one sweep.  The team is so high on the win that they forget to get on the plane and, as a result, lose to Miami the next week.

Colt 14-30 114 Yards 3 Ints 2 Fumbles sacked 8 times.  29 Rushing Yards total, on 29 attempts.  We run out the clock on ourselves to stop the bleeding.

 

Skins no sacks. TD on a KR from Sims. Stadium only 65% Patriots fans. We set some sort of record for D 3rd down futility. Likely, completion % AND conversion %
