I think 4 of the 5 goals were high glove side. Maybe other teams will use that recipe and knock the penguins out of the playoffs lol. Their next 9 games are all against Metro opponents

Not sure who was in goal, but they got thumped by Carolina today..

The Caps have been the most skilled team in hockey over the past decade, yet their insistence on continually half-assing it and making dumb plays at the worst times (including penalties) has resulted in them advancing past the second round of the playoffs ONCE.

Even the Canadiens teams of the 70s and the Oilers teams of the 80s had bad stretches.  But we're going on 2 1/2 months now of the Caps just not showing up.  I really thought the Cup win was gonna change that for this group, but clearly it hasn't.  They have the talent to do something special this spring, but I'm not counting on it.

I understand the frustration loosing to the Buffalo Sabers and the lazy defensive lapes , however 4 points out of a 3 game road trip isn't really that terrible, certainly would have liked to collect more though

Guys there is a very real possibility hockey season may be suspended if they follow the nbas move. Be interesting to see how this plays out.

At this point it’s hard to see how imagine they don’t follow suit.

At minimum the Sharks can’t play with a crowd in San Jose for the foreseeable future

as strange as it sounds it could play to the caps benefit. If and when the season continues the hot teams such as the flyers could have cooled and the slumping teams like the caps could turn it around. Players with injuries could heal up. Caps can make a coaching change 😂

The NHL could forgo the rest of the regular season and then pick up with the playoffs in May if things have returned to normal.  Take the standings as they are now which would give the Caps the 2 seed.    Maybe also only take the top 4 teams per conference instead of the top 8.   This would eliminate the Penguins 🙂   Also Ovechkin would be tied with Pasternak and earn another Richard 🙂

Unfortunately if theirs a tie for the Rocket the player with the least amount of ENGs wins it’s so it would go to Pasta

It's about 6 hours until the puck drops.  Why can't they just make a decision?  Either they buy into the social distancing recommendation, or they don't.  If they need more time, say the games will go on tonight as scheduled while the league is assessing the situation.  The NHL says it's "consulting with medical experts".  What more info do they think they're going to get between now and tonight?

They did the same crap 4 years ago, when the city was covered under 4 feet of snow and they waited until like 3 hours before a Caps-Ducks game to finally cancel it.
