For all those stories that don't really fit anywhere and aren't big enough to make a new thread about. Will kick it off with some GOP rat****ery.

The republicans have ruined NC, which sucks, because I live there.  The gerrymandering, voter suppression laws aimed at minorities, passing ridiculous bills like HB-2 that cost Charlotte tons of new jobs/industries and money, extending the power of the governor when Pat McCrory when he was elected, only to take away that power and more when Roy Cooper defeated him in the last election.

North Carolina is the testing ground for the GOP to examine all forms of undemocratic tactics, from election fraud to extreme gerrymandering. It should really be a warning call to the rest of the country of what's at stake if the GOP is allowed to go about doing its business without a serious rebuke at the polls.

‘A New Low’: NC Republicans Override Governor’s Veto While Dems Attended 9/11 Ceremony

Jerry Lambe 21 hrs ago

North Carolina House Republicans on Wednesday called a surprise vote to override Gov. Roy Cooper’s (D) budget veto while he and House Democrats attended a 9/11 memorial event, according to reporter John Kaplan of ABC11 WTVD Eyewitness News.

Prior to Wednesday’s vote, House Republicans told their Democratic colleagues that no votes would be held during the 9/11 morning ceremony, then proceeded to vote while approximately half the members weren’t present, State Sen. Jeff Jackson (D) said.

yes... can you even IMAGINE the crying outrage about patriotism, that would take place if democrats tried to pull this atrocious ****???

it has gotten to point that even regular voters that continue to support/enable the GOP in 2019 ****ing disgust me.     you can NOT support this dumpster fire of a political party without checking all morals at the door.

God shows his irritation:

2.5 magnitude earthquake reported in western North Carolina

I guess he's only mildly irritated.

James Workinshaw, Democrat nominee for Braddock district supervisor in Fairfax County was canvassing door to door today and stopped by my house in Burke.

Seemed like a real nice guy putting in the legwork to get votes.  I’ll be voting for him in November and so should you.  All of you.

Saying this as an American Jew with family friends who are Israeli, and some who have been in previous Gov'ts there.

Netanyahu really needs to lose this week for the good of that country. The Eastern European Israeli's and Hasidic Jews there are his biggest base. They are the hardest of the hardcore there. The ones who question who is and isn't a "real Jew".

Netanyahu needs to lose. The investigations into him and his wife need to continue and hopefully, he is found guilty of abusing his position for personal gain with more power and money.

Clarification: An earlier version of this article overly generalized the reason for Democrats’ absence from the General Assembly session. This version has been updated.

Over generalized
