2019 Game Day Thread - SUPERBOWL - Chiefs Win!

Recommended Posts

I want to see the Chiefs in the SB anyways and felt the Ravens might stand in their way. Reid deserves a win after being in the post season 27 times and nothing to show for.

Love to see Henry in a Redskins uniform if Titans dont want to pay him.  Trust and believe someone will.

Just imagine how close we were to having a Vikings Ravens SB.

Nevermore.

If the Titans beat the Patriots in Boston, Ravens in Baltimore and Chiefs in KC it has to be considered one of the most impressive roads to the Super Bowl ever.

Then Tannehill can hoist the Lombardi at the Dolphins stadium in the Super Bowl. That would be so crazy.

The dookie haired RB made the Ravens look just like that today.  Ravens found out today that the regular season and the playoffs are two completely different seasons

Well now both RG3 and Cousins have lost twice in the playoffs, both as starters and back-ups.

Actually......both have lost THREE times in the playoffs

RG3 as a starter once, and as a backup twice: Vs Packers, and tonight

kirk as a starter twice (vs packers, and today) and a backup once (vs Seattle).

EDIT: forgot RG3 was on the ravens for last years loss, so add that to his list.

Haven't both lost 3 times? Cousins 2012, 15, 19; RG3 2012, 18, 19.  Was RG still on the 15 team that lost? If so that would be 4 losses for him

Yep. Also i forgot RG3 was on the ravens last season for the playoff loss to the chargers, so:

Kirk: 3 times (2012, 2015, 2019)

rg3: 4 times (2012, 2015, 2018, 2019)

All hail the Titans. Vrabel will out coach the Chiefs too.

I think Reid is due.

But it’s possible.

And the chiefs have to beat the Texans first.

The Titans have beaten the 2 teams I didn't want to see anymore this year. Rooting for the Titans all the way.

Do the Titan up!

Theres no such thing as “due”. Some win, some don’t.

Sure, in reality that’s true.

But in the sports world, people like to think it is a thing. Why not let those that want to think he’s “due” think that if they want to? No harm in thinking that 🤷🏻‍♂️

Derrick Henry has run for a total of 377 yards (5.7ypc) in just two playoff games.  Pats finished the season 6th in fewest rushing yards allowed.  Baltimore was 5th.

My guess, the Seattle-Packers game will be the only close game this weekend. I think the Chiefs have a similar result over the Texans today that the 49ers and Titans did.

Say:

Packers 27

Seahawks 24

Chiefs 31

Texans 13

Damn.  Redskins should've grabbed Tannehill when the Dolphins let him walk.

I believe Shanahan wanted him ;). Kirk really took a beating with 6 sacks, 8 hurries and a few pressures.

Who knows, he may just be the next 1-year playoff wonder, like a Nick Foles or Blake Bortles.

And he sure got a lot of support from the run game, which makes a huge difference.

Tannehill passed 14 times for 88 yards. He had 10 or 12 of those at halftime.

John Riggins liked this gameplan.

Almost any NFL QB would look pretty awesome in that offense.

Here is what one of the Ravens defenders had to say about facing Derrick Henry:

"Probably first time in my career that I felt like it wasn't much I could do at the time," Ravens defensive tackle Michael Pierce said of Henry. "The dude is a zone unlike anything I've played against."

Sounds like the Cowboys after the 1982 NFCCG.
