coolskin
Tim Hasselbeck is a pretty small guy with small hands. I don't think he is physically able to grip and throw a sopping wet ball. Seriously, none of his interceptions yesterday were because of some good defensive play by Dallas. The throws were right at the defenders. Also, many of his other throws were so short, they just fell into the mud. Bottom line, I don't think he has the tools to play in the slop. How else do you explain it? Great defense by Dallas? No way, they just dropped back and waited for horrible throws. If it rains next week in Chicago, you will see more of the same.
freakofthesouth
Yeah...wow. :anon: All, all, all of his throws were off big time. He could do nothing against this D, and he couldn't throw the ball w/ any accuracy.

TD_washingtonredskins
For what it's worth, Trevor Mattich (who analyzes the games on Fox 5's post-gamewas saying that Hassleback was leaning back and throwing off his back foot which caused a lot of balls to sail over his targets. For example, one play he was trying to throw underneath to Rock and sailed it over his head. The throw seemed to be grossly UNDERthrown to the WR in the route and was picked off my Newman. Even Madder
Excuses, excuses. Tim Hasselbeck is from Massachusetts. He played college ball at Boston College. If he couldn't grip a wet ball, he'd be playing Arena Football right now.

WallyG3
I just thought of this thread from last week. Wasn't it when Timmy put on the DW glove in Chicago that he started throwing well? Interesting...

Art
Hasselbeck is probably better in bad weather than Ramsey has shown himself to be. Remember how completely lost Ramsey looked last year against Green Bay in a rather mild game. And later in the year with a light rain against Houston he lost all of his ability to throw as that game moved on. The real downside to Ramsey being out late this year is that he could have gotten some seriously good bad weather experience the last few games. I have no idea if he's better in bad weather now than he was as a rookie and we won't know until he plays in a bad weather game next year now. That's too bad.
