The only thing the Redskins excel at.

As many know I’ve gone to bat for this FO and was able to see past the Kirk situation, though always was very annoyed they didn’t get high compensation for a big asset. This one was just pure stupidity cause Trent’s intentions were clear as day. I don’t think Bruce survives it tbh.

This whole saga is just stupid.

Should have just traded him...or paid him more money (which I do think is a motivating factor in all of this.)

Or maybe, just maybe.........TW should play out the ****ing contract he signed and not act like a little ****?  I'd have been fine with trading him to Houston or Cleveland or New England, etc., but, I also don't blame the team for standing firm.  Players need to quit acting like ****es and getting everything they want.

Just thinking about it from a macro level.  If you ignore the bickering, hurt feelings and put your allegiance to one side or the other away...the team we root for just decided not to pay a guy because he had a cancer removed. They said 'your cancer isn't our problem' to a franchise player.  The Colts didn't even do that, when they could've gotten Luck for injuring his shoulder snowboarding.  The Chiefs didn't place Eric Berry on NFI when his cancer was diagnosed.

We are approaching world record levels of scumbaggery here.  I doubt even the guys on here that would love to stick it to Trent would've had the vengeance to execute this.  It's one thing to be clueless, or incompetent.  It's another thing to have no redeeming qualities as an organization.

Nope, you are 100% ****ing wrong.  They told him to see a specialist 3 years ago. There is also no oncologists/dermatologists on staff to properly diagnose cancer, much less a rare cancer that TW had.  TW tossed the franchise under the bus and gave two ****s about trying to make them look bad.

They had nothing to hide, requested an independent review of the medical records to prove no wrong doing and TW back peddled like a ****ing little **** that he is.  Keep taking up for your hero, but he's a ****ing douche bag.  You know it, the rest of the world knows it now.

Hahaha, less than one week after the Bruce lovers on here were pilling on TW, Bruce goes out and shows his true color again.  After declaring early in the year TW would play for the Redskins, here he is declaring he cannot play for the Redskins, and in effect giving TW everything he wanted exactly while screwing the very team hes supposed to be running.

I feel like Trent didn't think this through.

Oh, you mean the part where he gets exactly what he wanted?  Im guessing like most of your posts, you didnt think that one through 😂

No clue lol....I'm hoping it doesn't, though.

Keim and others literally said hours ago that it counts.  So despite your deep affection for Bruce your hope has been crushed.

You're believing team leaks now?  Do you honestly think they'd admit they ****ed up, even if they did?

Without knowledge of what actually occurred, how in the world would Casserly be privy to anything without someone handfeeding that info to him?

It never benefited him to cooperate with any investigation.  From a financial standpoint, can you really not blame the guy for not engaging in a moral crusade that would only be a detriment to his next contract?

What exactly did Trent get that he wanted?...

Guaranteed money? No.

Traded? No.

Restructure of his contract? No.

Released? No.

Privacy about his health and medical issues? No.

The rest of his 2019 salary? That's up to the Redskins.

And the Skins can still use the NFI status to try and toll his contract, which means he would not get an accrued season for this year.

So what exactly did Trent Williams get that he wanted again? Oh, wait...from reading your posts I'm guessing that what Trent actually wanted from all this was for you to make as many immature and asinine jabs at me being in love with Bruce Allen as possible lol. No idea why he would want you to do that, but at least that's one thing he can sleep peacefully about, knowing you're here carrying out his wishes. 👍

So you're not acknowledging that the team requested review of medical records to prove no wrong doing of the team in the handling of TW's head growth situation?  And that once the Redskins requested this, TW immediately shut it down.

I blame the guy for being a ****ing liar and a ****.  So he can toss the organization under the bus and when they request a review to clear their names, he shuts it down because he knows it would only prove he was lying, and that's ok with you?  Don't confuse my stance on TW being a ****ing **** with defending the FO, cause that isn't so.

Curious, are you transitioning to be TW's partner to have his man babies?  Cause you all over that guy's jock.

The team owns those medical records.  The only thing Trent could possibly have to contribute is an interview, emails or other correspondence validating his position.  And if he gives it up, no other FO touches him with a ten foot pole, and he blows a chance at getting a ~$20 M + signing bonus, as soon as teams figure out he cooperated.

You can leave out the innuendos and continue your march down the path to the wrong side of history.  Don't let logic stop you...

Yeah I'm kinda confused too. How exactly is not getting paid at all for the season, and possibly not even having this season count towards his contract a win for Trent? He didn't get traded so he still has to keep dealing with the same (****ty) organization and the same (super ****ty) people. And he didn't get a new contract with more guaranteed money like he may have been looking for either.

This whole situation is awful, and the FO ****ed up big time by not just trading him for a high pick some time ago after it was obvious that he wasn't going to play here anymore, but Trent didn't exactly make out like a bandit either. This FO is masterful at creating situations where nobody wins. All Bruce's petty ass seems to care about is feeling like he "won" in these battles where he appears to take everything personally.

Whether Trent is a douche bag or not is rather irrelevant is it not? Question is is the team run well? The answer is, not only is it not run well, it has to be considered to be the most inept and toxic ran organization in all of sports. You know it, and the rest of the world knows it (and has for some time). Frankly if I'm Chase Young or anyone else that would be picked in the top 10 I'd tell the Redskins don't draft me because I'm not going to play for them.

I love Trent’s game, he’s been a favorite of mine since we drafted him. Also Bruce is trash, and Danny’s an idiot. But at this point I exercise all options available per the rules.

Not sure what Trent was thinking the reaction was gonna be once he went awol.
He’s a no show. Personally I don’t pay him and try to get his second year put back on. If you lose the appeal, so be it.

But this idea that the team somehow owes him and should be friendly With him on the way out is nutz. He has sold us out since April, with a full blown double middle fingers in the air to the Redskins. So a lot of that respect he’s earned, he can’t leverage with the way he’s handled it all. Guessing he knew it was coming and just decided to stick it out till the league new year to be traded. But guess what? We don’t have to immediately trade him, lol. Not sure all the ins and outs but we may be dealing with this well past the league new year, no?

I hate Bruce. Sour on Trent and Pissed  this whole thing is happening.. Smh.

I think the stalemate that has happened has been a bad outcome for everyone.  I think the original title of this thread was about Trent wanting to be traded or released.  He has not gotten those things.  Bruce seems to think his motivation was about a new contract, which was also not given.  So, Trent has not come out ahead, if those were his primary goals. On the other hand, Bruce seemed to think that Trent would return to play rather than paying fines and missing game checks. There were some reports that Trent was adamant that he would never play for them again.  It appears that if Bruce's goal was to have Trent play for the Redskins, he will not achieve that goal either.

You can argue that the front office made a good decision not to let a player get "rewarded" for a holdout by giving them what they want.  But, accepting a lose-lose scenario can also be seen by others on the team, and prospective free agents, as a warning sign for how the team may treat them in the future.  It is reasonable for a prospective free agent to be concerned about how they will be treated if things do not go as expected.
