megared
I'd like to see Trent go full TO, maybe some situps in front of reporters. At this point this is a much more entertaining outcome than the product they're putting on the field Sundays. If Bruce is here next season, we should be forced to do Hard Knocks

Vanguard
Basically Bruce is saying he’s not going to let any PLAYER dictate what he’s going to do. It’s about who feels more superior.

Lets say $6M total. That's an expensive way to hang the L on Bruce. He’s proven incapable of navigating a full season without injury, perhaps playing half the season allows him to grade out better than he would have otherwise & thus net him a larger contract in 2021. UKskins
**** Trent. **** Bruce too, but Trent started this whole thing by being a dick. If he didn't want to play here that's fine, no issue with that, but he needs to do what every other damn player who wants to be traded does and tell us so before the draft and FA. Now he reports right at trade deadline to avoid having us with another year of his contract on the books. Really hard to root for a guy when he keeps pulling dick moves. evmiii
Per the profootball talk article above, how does that work? Contract exemption? It seems if there was a tool to keep two years on his contract it would certainly enhance his trade value in the offseason.

This actually helps the Skins if he plays. If he comes in and plays at a high level it will raise his value. Ding! The only worry is if the team rallies and wins 2-3 games, losing out on #1-2 pick. PartyPosse
Man, imagine if we had Trent the whole year. We may have been 1-7 instead of 1-

Not to concerned with that. The left side of the line has been pretty good. Trent coming back doesn't make the right side any better.
Hooper
Why would Trent want to play for a dumpster fire organization? He’s done it for ten years and sees that nothing ever changes. I totally get what he’s doing. Others will do it too. And it’s not like the best players in the draft want to play for a NFL laughingstock either. That said maybe if Danny Boy actually did fire Bruce a new GM could change his view of the Redskins.

Would it shock you if Bruce went back on his word? Bruce worked hard to earn this headache. There's a reason why this isn't a run of the mill occurrence. PartyPosse
I also worry about his affect on the rest of the locker room if he’s activated to the 53. He may have not had cancer but he’s fast becoming one.
