Wow if they offered two 1st for Trent at any point and we passed we might as while fire everyone in the building.

I can't believe they would have offered two 1st for Trent at any point in the discussions given his injury history and age.

Stills will see the field plenty. Fuller has a massive injury history, Coutee has been injured and isn't proven, and they like to go 3-wide

Hopkins in the mix as well. Stills will be a backup

I'm still not concerned until the trade deadline comes and goes.  The market's not dead until then. And even then, he's still under contract, so if draft picks are the ideal return, they literally have until next April. A 2020 pick isnt going to do them any more today than it would later.

I want to think the thought process is they're just not under the gun to do anything so they wont.

The market isnt dead, but if you are looking to get the best return out of a trade, you need to target a desperate franchise. Houston right now is that franchise. Two firsts would have set us up for the decade. We arent getting that from anyone else at this point. No one else is that delusional.

Sadly, we were the target & ducked.

we don't know that the Skins ever received and off like that.  We could have responded to more basic offers that we weren't trading him under any circumstances so they threw everything at the one they could get

Could be coincidence.

Bruce very well could blow his hand here. But in light of the Luck retirement, we are holding the best asset in the game right now for an aspiring playoff team missing a piece on the OL. He held out for Haskins rather than trade a 2nd to move up above Denver to take him. That allowed us to trade up and get Mo Sweat, who is looking like an incredible steal. He's on a roll right now. Im willing to give him a shot at this and trust his judgement.

This is the hardest part of a GM: knowing when to trade and when not to. The fact that Trent has 2 years left locked up and is currently healthy, leaves us with easily the best trade option available. We should hold out until a team is ready to give up a 1st and 3rd or more.

i disagree. We are holding a broken LT that hasnt stayed healthy during a season for 5 years. Get Two 2's and move on.

Well, here's one I haven't heard before. There's no way the Skins are moving him for just a 2nd round pick. That may be all he's worth at this point though.

>>The Arizona Cardinals could make a splash on the trade market with quarterback Kyler Murray in mind. The Raiders went after the rookie signal-caller with blitzes in Week 2 of the preseason, sacking him twice.

Murray will struggle tremendously if the offensive line can't keep him off the ground in the face of immense pressure. According to the Washington Post's STATs, left tackle D.J. Humphries allowed five sacks in nine games in 2018.

Humphries could show improvement during a crucial contract year, but the Cardinals may still add a proven high-quality starter in seven-time Pro Bowler Trent Williams on the blind side....

.... The Cardinals should try their best to land the top-notch pass protector, who's clearly unhappy with his current squad, in exchange for a second-round pick. In the event of a trade, they can move Humphries to right tackle, where he played the majority of his rookie year, and release Marcus Gilbert to save $4.9 million of cap space, per Over the Cap. That money could go toward Williams' new deal.<<
