No Excuses Posted September 30, 2019 Author Share Posted September 30, 2019 I almost wonder if the move to push Sue Gordon out of ODNI so she doesn’t replace Dan Coats, and the hurried move to replace both with a total bootlicker in Ratcliffe without properly vetting him was out of a desire to quash this from coming to light. It’s abundantly clear that the W.H. knew very early on that someone is complaining, trying to bring this issue to the forefront and they were hellbent on making sure it wasn’t. Ratcliffe was a comically horrific and unqualified choice for ODNI director, that it almost seems like they wanted a sycophant in there as soon as possible. Trump is a total buffoon but the next one might be competent and will likely inherit a system whose civic institutions have been degraded beyond repair. Literally no difference between the significant minority of Germans that cheered Hitler’s initial erosion of German civic institutions and the GOP loyalists who make endless excuses or toe the party line in the face of all evidence.
