J.D. Gibbs... Rest in Peace

Recommended Posts

I just saw from one of J.D.'s good friends on facebook that he just passed away.

I am sure Joe and his family would covet all of our prayers right now.

forgive me for not having more details or not setting this thread up correctly. feel free to edit title or move it if needed.

JD is survived by a wife and 4 sons.

Joe Gibbs' has only one other son, Coy Gibbs, who was a quality control specialist during Gibbs 2.0

Coy has 3 sons and I daughter. So Joe has 8 grandchildren. So, a lot of people mourning, just in his family alone.

Horrible. Wasn't that JD Joe kisses in one of those old NFL Films shots after a Super Bowl win? Devastating. So sorry for Joe.

Condolences to you as well, tater.

Thought I heard someone mention that Gibbs was reported to have met with Snyder recently for unknown reasons.

I am purely speculating here, but perhaps Snyder offered Gibbs a huge amount of money towards medical treatment to see if additional funds for expensive treatment might have possibly saved JD's life.

Ugh.  Why do these horrific things have to happen to such incredible people?

J.D.'s son, Taylor, was diagnosed with leukemia at 2.  It just really, really tests your faith in all aspects when something like this happens to someone like that, repeatedly.

too young to die. No parent should ever have to bury their child. My heart aches for coach Gibbs and his family.

My godmother used to teach at the Flint Hill school in McLean, VA. JD and Coy Gibbs attended that school in 1981 after Gibbs took the job. Joe and Pat would sometimes pick up JD together and Joe was the classiest of all, making sure every child got an autograph.

Prayers are with Joe and Patricia

So sorry for the Gibbs family.I remember one of the grandkids was having medical issues but was unaware that JD was having problems as well. Truly awful news.  I will keep them in my prayers.

Just walked into the break room at work when they announced this on tv. Sigh.  Tough time for the Gibbs Family. RIP JD.
