Joe Gibbs' has only one other son, Coy Gibbs, who was a quality control specialist during Gibbs 2.0 Coy has 3 sons and I daughter. So Joe has 8 grandchildren. I am purely speculating here, but perhaps Snyder offered Gibbs a huge amount of money towards medical treatment to see if additional funds for expensive treatment might have possibly saved JD's life. My godmother used to teach at the Flint Hill school in McLean, VA. JD and Coy Gibbs attended that school in 1981 after Gibbs took the job. Joe and Pat would sometimes pick up JD together and Joe was the classiest of all, making sure every child got an autograph.
