Riggo#44
Keith Low on Ruiz, added to his top-50: Quote 50. Keibert Ruiz, C, Washington Nationals One of the two main players going back to the Nats for Max Scherzer and Trea Turner, Ruiz hit .311/.381/.631 for Triple-A Oklahoma City with almost as many walks as strikeouts, with 16 homers in 52 games, a breakout season for a prospect who’s long had more ability than we saw in games. He’s always hit for contact, but would show power more in BP than in actual games. With this power/contact/OBP combination, he could be a frequent All-Star as long as he stays behind the plate, even though he’s probably a 45 defender there and has a fringy arm. If he has to move to another position, this bat should play anywhere. The Nats should exhaust every possibility for him to catch before doing so, though, because he could be a .375 OBP/20-homer guy as an everyday catcher.

Commander -JB-
How the **** is Luis Garcia still getting AB’s at the MLB level batting below .150 & Jake Noll is stuck at AAA batting above .320 with 10 HR’s etc?  Make it make sense.

Because Garcia is 22 with a AAA slash line of .303/.371/.599 with 13 HRs in 37 Games. Noll is 27, and put up 10 HRs in 68 games.

No he gets a shot because he's 5 years younger, and out performed Noll. He's part of the future, Noll isn't. Who cares what he's hitting over a handful of games? Who is Noll going to take time from, Bell? Zimm?

Garcia should be in the minors.  He’s only 21 and struggling horribly at the plate.  Jake Noll deserves a chance.  You’re saying he shouldn’t because he’s 27?  Who cares what he’s hitting?  Why is he even in our farm system if it doesn’t matter what he’s batting?  He can play 3B.  Get him up and get him some AB’s.  It’s not like Keiboom has lit the world on fire either. 20 minutes ago, mammajamma said: you're comparing MLB stats (against MLB pitchers) to AAA stats (against AAA pitchers).. No ****.  Sub .150 is abysmal vs MLB pitching.
