I think it will cost more.  As stated before I think it will come down to our 1st but believe he's worth it.

It should not cost us a 1st. But I agree a 3rd will not be enough.  I expect it cost us a 2nd rd which is fine.

I said the same thing, but a poster on here changed my mind.  i think Denver could still be in play for 'the right guy' if he's here at their pick.  If Lock falls, I could see Denver picking him to groom.

If Elway's picking the QB, he wasn't gonna be any good anyway lol...

CBS' Jason La Canfora predicts Josh Rosen will be traded to the Redskins for a third-round pick.

La Canfora is purely speculating, but he is also convinced Kyler Murray will be the No. 1 overall pick to the Cardinals. As La Canfora points out, there are not many teams beyond the upper reaches of the draft that need a quarterback this offseason. With Nick Foles seemingly heading to the Jaguars, that does indeed leave the Redskins as perhaps the most plausible landing spot.

Rosen is basically on a 3 year 6.5mil contract. My God that is perfect in our situation with the Alex Smith contract. We also get a very good young prospect at QB. Beats Mark Sanchez or Josh Johnson or whichever scrub we'd need by week 6.

I'd happily go higher than a third rounder.

Rosen, I'd still swap our 15 for their 33 plus Rosen.

Net trade 'value' is an end of the first / top of the second rounder to them

We are left with 2 seconds and 2 thirds....or whatever is left after we've traded for AB :806:

I almost typed this myself.  I don’t want to use a first but we get 33 and Rosen that’s a good trade for both.  Your chances of landing a blue chip forex down but it’s not exponential.

AB is another topic. I really do not want him here. Too high cost both in the trade and salary.  But we will see.

I dont AB here either, he seems like the type that will just be happy to collect his massive paycheck from Snyder and not put in the work.

Don't have an issue with Keenum, other than he needs to take a salary cut. He seemed a logical target for us, as does Rosen. My plan A/B.

Keenum seems to be a bit of a forgotten QB at the minute.

Thinks hes my plan B if the Rosen chatter doesn't turn into anything. Would still draft someone as well.

Rosen plan A still. Come around to that being a great move, based on a reasonable trade price.

Not forgotten anymore. Think it'll be a shrewd move for little trade cost....and a contract restructure...

Don't know what to think about this?  As far as compensation pretty good but as far as money we need to do a good job restructuring Keenum's deal.  That would be the dicey part.  He's an OK player but wonder how this affect us drafting a QB this year?

Smith is toast. I think it's a vet, say Keenum, and a rookie, or even still Rosen if the cost is a third. If we go later in the draft for QB, my bet is Stidham.

We need to stock up at QB.

He's getting really nice money so that would have to change for sure.  If they are paying anyway near his current contract I'd hate it.  I like him as a dude, enjoyed watching him on hard knocks -- following his story with his girl friend at the time.    I recall he's a really good play action QB.  Otherwise aside from a season ago in Minny, he's been mostly a journeyman type.  Bandaid veteran.  Mediocre at best.

This move is sort of how I expect them to roll.  Hopefully this doesn't preclude them to get a young guy.  But if this is their whole solution -- on the surface it looks like a "meh" move.  But I'll dive into Keenum some before landing on a hard position on him.  His QBR last year is horrendous as it been through his whole career sans 2017.

A QB commanding 20mil last year now rumored to be swapped for a late picks lol The QB bubble has bursted and FOs are crazy.

Keenum is a solid move. Doesn’t intrigue me like Rosen from a long term standpoint, but I like his approach to the game and ability to make plays off script. Make McCoy earn it. Competition is a great motivator.

“Eh” kind of move.
