Half an inch away from VT getting to play UCF for a chance at the elite 8.

Now we get a pissed off duke taking us to pound town for 40 minutes.

Lovely. Still don’t find college basketball enjoyable tho. Not a fun product

Nah, Hokies will beat Duke.  Then Sparty will take you to pound town.

I have a tough time seeing Duke get past Gonzaga

Zion might be able to bully Brandon Clarke though.

I really like watching the way Gonzaga plays, but they're going to have a tough time with Florida State because of the size difference in the front court.  That's one of the few bad draws in the field for them, and they got it.

This Gonzaga team has Brandon Clark which last year’s team didn’t have.

And Duke can’t shoot. That will cost them.

I agree with you, he is a major difference maker.  I've been blown away by him.  He reminds me of a rich man's Jordan Bell--quicker, bouncier, and more offensively gifted.  He'll end up being a gem for some team like the Celtics or Spurs or Raptors.  He's the prototype of a modern defensive specialist big.

But I noticed that he had some trouble dealing with the strength of that stocky guy Vital, and that Clarke was let off the chain when they were able to get Vital out of the game via foul trouble.  If we get a Final Four matchup between Gonzaga and Duke (would be an incredible game), I think Duke is going to go after Clarke.  Have Zion face him up several times in the opening minutes and run a lot of high screen action with Zion rolling.  Stuff that will get Zion running downhill on Clarke.  That plus a diet of pump fakes and having Zion box him out hard on the glass is you how can use Clarke's aggressiveness against him.

So to counter that, I think Few needs to switch very aggressively and also have his guards to aggressively trap Zion on the perimeter when he gets the ball in his hands.  They can't let him bully Clarke.  And then you have to use a committee approach to boxing Zion out so that Clarke doesn't get worn out.  If you can exploit Zion's inexperience for turnovers and fouls and hopefully get him passing out of his face ups and post opportunities.  He's a great player though, he'll get his, but the key is to make him inefficient and hesitant.

I don't like Gonzaga's road to the Final Four though.  Michigan has been cruising, Florida State was underseeded, and I don't see a substantial difference between UVA and Texas Tech.  The other three one seeds got much easier draws.  If they make it, I think they can win it all.  But it's going to be tougher for them than the others.  They're going to have trouble with FSU's bigs.  They're going to need their guards to come up big next game.

lmao Duke would pound town sparty. Sparty only has one good player and that's Cassius Winston. Duke has 5 great players on the court. 5 > 1.

That being said Duke does have to get through VT first. That game is the late game at night. LSU - Sparty 7 PM Friday. Will be there.

UVA? Gonzaga has a better team than Michigan. Michigan has a lot of scoring droughts from what I've seen this season and do not do as well against elite teams. I also don't agree that Florida State was under-seeded, but they are seen as the best fourth seed in the tournament based on the committee's selection.

IDK, I think Duke's lack of outside shooting is going to cost them sooner than later. I agree their region is smooth, but that team shouldn't have trouble with UCF regardless of Tacko Fall.

Are we gonna talk about how terrible this promo/ad campaign with the awkward redhead sportscaster is?

Lets talk about how terrible it is.

Its ****ing terrible.

The AT&T campaign?  Yeah the concept is a real stretch and it's not very funny.

I can't believe people have an issue with what Izzo did yelling at one of his players. That's sports. People need to get a hold of their life. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.

It wasn't the yelling. It was the way he seeming lunged at him twice. Especially when the players all grabbed Izzo in the huddle.
