If Michael Vick was in the Fun-N-Gun..

It seems like he plays his own game. I'm sure he'd kill it for Spurrier, but I really don't feel as if he's following a playbook. There's only one play that Vick calls in the huddle: "Y'all hurry up and get the f*ck open so I don't have to keep running. I ain't gonna get injured again for you sorry a*s fools."

Or somn like that. :twitch:

I didn't think he was Joe Montana in the decision making category. I just thought Spurrier might like a QB with cat-like back moves, in the shotgun, with an empty backfield to run his passing attack. If the QB was as dangerous as Barry Sanders when he ran, why have another back in there? Once again, I'm not a Tech fan. But you can really see how a scrambler like Vick entices you.

Imagine having an excellent passing qb and Vick as a Running back or WR. The durability is the one question mark for me in terms of Vick, he is a really small guy and he's going to take a beating the way he plays.

While there's no doubt that he does some crazy things at times, but there is also the consistancy factor and the passing game. Sure, he has a great arm, but can he be a decent passer on a regular basis? That remains to be seen.

Vick was amazing in the game last night.

If he was in Spurrier's system...with all of that speed & ability w/ the WRs...

This offense would be sick. :puke:

Plus...Vick can throw the bean. He just hasn't played all season (Reeves mention it was 'his 3rd preseason game'), but he has a gun. And he can make the throws.

Basically...any team is a playoff contender w/ a healthy Mike Vick touching the ball every play.

Vick is not the sharpest knife in the kitchen, somehow I don't think he'd grasp the Fun and Gun concepts.

If no one else said this, I was. I think Vick is an awesome talent, but I do think their are limiting factors such as this as far as run an effective pro style offense. Sure you could say just give him the ball and he will create, but at the same time....its obvious that his playing style will either shorten his career or cause him numerous injuries. Its easy to see a guy make so many plays and want him.....but he isn't the long range answer. I think if I could pick one offensive player to complete this team....it would be Portis.

Wicked... Obviously, I agree, but I agree with Portis being a better fit for this team.

IMO, Vick is one player that could singlehandedly win or lose any game on any given day vs. any team. I think the ups and downs that his career has already shown will be a trademark of his.

The guy can throw, no doubt about that. However, accuracy is another story, which I think he's not real sharp, in terms of that. Also, IMHO, he lacks of patience. He seems to take off too soon to make plays himself. Those defenders would eventually kill him.

He's a real freelancer and so much fun to watch. Amazing!!

Code

They simplified the verbiage as much as anything. If you have a young QB that you want out there and perfoming well, it makes sense that you'd cut down on needlessly long play-names. I never understood the need by some coaches to have 25 word plays anyway.

The Skins ran the same play from about 12 different formations--simplifying so that you can "think" less is what football is all about.
