Miami Herald: I’m done trying to understand Trump supporters. Why don’t they try to understand me?

They just can't quit him.

Lindsey Graham says there is 'only one Donald Trump' and the GOP can't have 'Trump policies' without him

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said the GOP cannot reap the benefits of former President Donald Trump's policies while electing someone else in 2024.

"How many times have you heard: 'We like Trump policies, but we want somebody new?'" Graham said on Saturday at a Trump campaign event in South Carolina. "There are no Trump policies without Donald Trump."

Graham went on to call the former president "strong" and "reliable," and to say Trump made the world "a better place."

"We live in a dangerous world right now. The good news for the Republican Party — there are many, many talented people for years to come," Graham said.

"But there is only one Donald Trump. And I say this sincerely, you can talk about his policies, but you could not do what he did," the senator added.

"You could not do what he did."  What incite and insurrection to try to overthrow our democracy?  Yeah, I hope not.  Holding out hope Lindsey gets indicted in Georgia.

Admiring Lindsey Graham trying to claim that a Party that hasn't had any policies (that they'll admit to) for 20 years, can't steal the policies of a President who didn't have any policies.

Hopefully, one day one of these cases/investigations will actually result in an indictment:

Manhattan Prosecutors Will Begin Presenting Trump Case to Grand Jury

The Manhattan district attorney’s office on Monday began presenting evidence to a grand jury about Donald J. Trump’s role in paying hush money to a porn star during his 2016 presidential campaign, laying the groundwork for potential criminal charges against the former president in the coming months, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The grand jury was recently impaneled, and the beginning of witness testimony represents a clear signal that the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, is nearing a decision about whether to charge Mr. Trump.

On Monday, one of the witnesses was seen with his lawyer entering the building in Lower Manhattan where the grand jury is sitting. The witness, David Pecker, is the former publisher of The National Enquirer, the tabloid that helped broker the deal with the porn star, Stormy Daniels.

As prosecutors prepare to reconstruct the events surrounding the payment for grand jurors, they have sought to interview several witnesses, including the tabloid’s former editor, Dylan Howard, and two employees at Mr. Trump’s company, the people said. Mr. Howard and the Trump Organization employees, Jeffrey McConney and Deborah Tarasoff, have not yet testified before the grand jury.

The prosecutors have also begun contacting officials from Mr. Trump’s 2016 campaign, one of the people said. And in a sign that they want to corroborate these witness accounts, the prosecutors recently subpoenaed phone records and other documents that might shed light on the episode.

A conviction is not a sure thing, in part because a case could hinge on showing that Mr. Trump and his company falsified records to hide the payout from voters days before the 2016 election, a low-level felony charge that would be based on a largely untested legal theory. The case would also rely on the testimony of Michael D. Cohen, Mr. Trump’s former fixer who made the payment and who himself pleaded guilty to federal charges related to the hush money in 2018.

Still, the developments compound Mr. Trump’s legal woes in the early days of his third presidential campaign.

Oh, come on. Next you're gonna just move the goalposts and want a conviction, or something.

Trump has so many lawsuits, I can't keep them all straight:

Trump sues Bob Woodward for publishing audio recordings of White House interviews

Former President Donald Trump sued Bob Woodward on Monday, claiming the veteran journalist did not get his consent to release audio recordings of interviews conducted during the last two years he was in office.

The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Florida, focuses on the October release of “The Trump Tapes: Bob Woodward’s Twenty Interviews with President Donald Trump.” It seeks nearly $50 million in damages and alleges efforts to "capitalize upon President Trump’s voice."

In the suit, Trump says he consented to being recorded only for the purposes of Woodward's book "Rage," which was published in 2020, and that Woodward broke his promise to Trump by later using the interviews for an audiobook.

Ask the people who don't believe that systemic racism exists why African Americans have a higher rate of unemployment, have always and continue to earn less than whites, have twice the poverty rate of whites, are less likely to earn a college degree, are less likely to own a home, have a lower life expectancy, are more likely to be imprisoned, etc etc etc.

They either have to admit that systemic racism exists or admit that they are just plain old regular racists who think that this all attributable to blacks being inferior human beings.

@LD0506 "Jackass whisperer".

Remember a joke about a guy who is stopped in a road, in a wagon full of construction lumber, unable to get his mule to move.

Stranger comes by, notices the problem. Says "newcomer. I can get your mule to move, for you."

Getting agreement, the stranger goes to the wagon, goes to the front, and wit a huge swing, breaks a 2x4 over the mule's head.

Owner jumps to his feet to protest, but the stranger freezes him with a finger.

"First, you have to get his attention."
