Ted Cruz complains that Trump is not spending $100 million to help Republican candidates in midterm elections

Senator Ted Cruz openly admonished fellow Republican Donald Trump for not spending more of his money on GOP candidates in the upcoming election.

The Texas senator called the president a term during Tuesday’s episode of his podcast the verdict, claiming he’s sitting on “a hundred million dollars” instead of using it to support pro-Trump candidates at polls across the country.

“I wish Trump was spending some of his money,” he said.

“Trump has a hundred million dollars and spends next to nothing to support these candidates.

Cruz stressed that this was not an “ideal” situation, as one of the other main resources for funding GOP midterm races — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell — has been supporting moderate and anti-Democratic Republican candidates. Trump.

“It would be nice if [Mr] Trump would spend some of that $100 million to help some of those candidates that Mitch [McConnell] is dropping out because they are pro-Trump,” joked Cruz.

“Those are the two pockets that are there, and right now, neither of them is spending in several of those states.”

Trump is saving the money for himself.  Any bets on how soon after the midterms he announces his candidacy for 2024?  I betting within 48 hours.

Judge shoots down Mike Lindell's bid to reclaim seized phone, access warrant affidavit

A federal judge on Thursday sharply rejected an effort by Mike Lindell, the MyPillow CEO, to reclaim a cellphone seized by the FBI in September.

U.S. District Court Judge Eric Tostrud ruled that the Justice Department had easily justified the seizure of Lindell’s phone in connection with an investigation into a breach of Colorado voting systems after the 2020 election.

Lindell has been a longtime ally in former President Donald Trump’s effort to subvert the election and lodge discredited claims of widespread fraud. He has not been charged with any crimes connected to the effort.

Tostrud, a Trump appointee based in St. Paul, Minn., also denied an effort by Lindell to access the affidavit justifying the seizure.

He described the affidavit as “extensive,” totaling 80 pages, and said it included identities of confidential informants and cooperating witnesses, as well as details of “recorded communications.”

The judge said the exposure of sensitive details in the sealed submissions could interfere with the probe being conducted by Washington-based prosecutors and the FBI.

‘I Need to Get Out’: Arizona Family Coming Apart at the Seams Over Mom’s Love of Trump

In a fascinating look into how the “toxic” political atmosphere is tearing families apart since Donald Trump first ran for president, Jennifer Medina presented a portrait of an Arizona family that isbarely holding it together in major part because of the mother’s unabashed love for the former president.

In her New York Times piece, Medina writes about the Broe family of Scottsdale where the political divide has reached the point where Carolyn Broe’s daughter Jasmine admitted she needs to move out because “I do consider, like the political atmosphere in the house to be the biggest contributor to my mental health problems,” and added, “I need to get out.”

Central to the tension is mother Carolyn, described as a hardcore Republican, her husband, a Libertarian and their two children described as “two Bernie-style Democrats.”

“Carolyn Broe, 65, is a Republican and a music teacher who believes a Democratic cabal stole the 2020 election and has been leading the country into collapse. She declares the president a ‘treasonous hack’ running a ‘disaster’ of an administration. Her husband is a Libertarian who considers Ronald Reagan the last admirable elected politician. He questions the integrity of the last election but thinks voters should move on. Their two adult children are to the left of the Democratic Party and are open to supporting socialism. They fear that Republicans are destroying democracy,” Medina wrote for the Times.

The report adds that tensions within the family grew so great during the 2016 election that Carolyn Boe moved into a hotel.

“Her daughter changes the channel from Fox News before leaving the house — and Ms. Broe changes it back. She received a text meant for her son, offering him $250 a week to help turn out progressive voters, and she wrote back: ‘I am worried this money is coming from Zuckerberg! He is courting communist China!'” the report states. “Her children — Jasmine, 26, and JeanRené, 35 — wince when she speaks her views. Her husband — Steve Broe, 67, a practicing Buddhist who teaches management and leadership — calls their political differences ‘significant, but not tragic.’ The only thing they seem to agree on is that talk of politics has become what they describe as ‘triggering,’ and the only solution on many days is to avoid talking about it at all.”

“Their story would be extraordinary were it not so ordinary in America as the 2022 midterm elections approach on Tuesday,” the report continued.

Donald Trump humiliated J.D. Vance for fun

Donald Trump needs you to know that Republican candidates don’t just like him, they love him. And they need him. Badly.

At a rally on Saturday night for Ohio GOP Senate nominee J.D. Vance, Trump made sure the crowd knew that Vance was subservient to him – big time.

“J.D. is kissing my ass he wants my support so bad,” Trump said.

Trump was reacting to a New York Times story that reported Vance had not actually invited Trump to campaign with him in the state. Instead, Trump’s team had simply told Vance that they would be coming to Ohio for a rally.

Trump’s campaign stops have always been, primarily, about Trump. You can tell that by the amount of time he spends talking about himself (a lot) versus how much time he spends talking about the candidate for whom he is ostensibly campaigning (very little).

It's amazing that these people can function in society they're so stupid:

But do they?

Long time ago one of the long form outlets did an article on how conspiracy theorists are basically the losers in life. Conspiracy theories give them an excuse that they can’t control. It makes their life situation not their fault. It’s the fault of this huge system keeping them down, kicking them out of social circles, etc.

If you believe that it stands to reason most of these people probably don’t function too well out there 😂

I can’t wait for the RED Tsunami tomorrow! Wonder what excuses you liberals will have next?

Not a lib here but excuses for what exactly? Inflation is probably the biggest issue right now. GOP should win both houses. Then what? Who you think will win in 2024?
