Skins26
Ive only heard about him and never really seen him play since he plays for Oregon State over on the west coast. But today they are showing Oregon State at USC on channel 7 right now. This guy looks like the real deal, maybe the best back in the draft this year. He's 6-3 233, has the speed, power, and vision to really get it done. He's only gotten one carry so far but it was for a 2 yard TD, the game just started. He ran over his own offensive linemen getting that TD. I encourage you to watch. I really want to see what he's got, many people think he's far better than Jones and Perry and all of them, i guess we'll see here today.
Dr. D
good maybe we can trade Betts and get a second round pick and spend it on him. Shoot maybe we can trade trung for a first as well. but seeing as our Fo is only good at trading our draft picks for lower ones it will never happen. inmate running the asylum
The Redskins can't afford to draft this guy in the 1st or 2nd round with our DL problems. So forget him.
Skins26
inmate, there are no good DE's in the draft though, or at least ones worth taking in the 1st round, unless its really late in the first. This guy would be a better pick.
Dr. D
I am actually watching the DL for USC...supposedly there is a defensive end that is worth watching...haven't seen one yet.

This guy would be a better pick. The problem is that Spurrier would only allow him a maximum of 15 carries a game, which is not enough to get into any rhythm. Then everyone on the board here would be complaining about Jones being a bust and how we wasted our #1 pick. Just like with Betts and Canidate now. If we need a RB this bad, we would be better off saving the draft pick and signing Duce Staley. BayouBrave86
Yup the Oregon St rb is the real deal. I know LSU has a HUGE GAME tonight and is definately their toughest game of the season so far, but seriously USC doesn't look all that great today against a 7-6 OSU team. Sure USC dominated the 1st quarter, but the OSU defense seems to have settled down out there. And if not a few screw ups by the OSU offense and that phantom offensive pass interference call, OSU could easily be up right now 20-14 or somewhere along that line. USC the number 2 team in that nation?
Tom [Giants fan]
Why are you guys debating what you should do with your first and second round picks? You know you aren't going to have any by that time.

panel
The secret to trading, in all feilds, if to buy low and sell high. Betts cost us a 2nd rounder and the $$$ we dished to him. his curent value is lower than his true skill, since he was injured all last year. I am against any trade where we must buy high, and sell low. Especially when we know his true value is higher than what people think it is. DeathByLinebacker
WarpathBrave86, I think you are watching through gold and purple glasses. USC's offense is awesome and their defense is pretty good too. My money is on LSU winning tonight, but Mike Williams is better than anyone that plays for the Tigers. Ford
Still think Kevin Jones is better .. and I'm by no means a Hokies fan.
Skins26
I dont know if you can judge who is better between Jackson and Jones because Jackson's offensive line is obviously inferior. Oh no, inmate, i hate "the Duce" i hope we dont do that.
MAATopDogg
I like this Steven Jackson as well as Sean Taylor. He is the type of back that can get the tough yards. If we get 2 1st rounders we should use the second one on him and the first one one Sean Taylor & address the Dline in the 2nd & 3rd rounds + FA. Skins26
Also inmate, If Spurrier only gives an RB 15 carries max next year, then we're going to be pretty bad. And if we're pretty bad, Spurrier has said after the 3rd year he's out. So we'll just have a really good RB ready to take over when a new coach comes in, if Spurrier decides to stick with his non-running ways.
BayouBrave86
DeathByLinebacker..oh no doubting USC's offense. Their offense is amazing, but seriously USC's defense is highly over-rated. OSU has almost amassed over 500 yards. That is ridiculous..OSU's QB blows. By the way, all the PAC 10 teams play this USC offense real soft. If USC does make it to the Sugar Bowl, OU will smack USC in the mouth. Oh well Im just hoping LSU wins tonight caus if they do, they have a great shot at going to the NATL CHAMP GAME! Spurrier is out, this year or next. Originally posted by Skins26 So we'll just have a really good RB ready to take over when a new coach comes in, if Spurrier decides to stick with his non-running ways. [/b] We've already got good backs...... Betts, Canidate, McCullough, Cartwright........ All of them have over a 4.0+ yard rushing average, except Betts. Spurrier just doesn't give them enough carries in his pass happy offense.
