Kirk aside, many of those reporters who made the picks are clearly clueless when it comes to football.  They don't understand the value of the QB position in the modern NFL.  They drafted like it was fantasy football.

Not as crazy as real life.

Who would have thought that in the 2012 draft, Tannehill would be a better pick than RG3 ?

I remember early in the 2011 season, Tannehill was a pretty hot topic amongst football heads for QB#2, until RG3 blew the doors off of college football

Meanwhile between 2012 and 2013, Matt Barkley and Landry Jones went from consolation prize QBs to doormats over the course of one season. I still remember the debates about Luck-RG3-Tannehill-Barkley-Jones being the best QB draft in years.

Chad Dukes on the radio today said Kirk is better than Eli. Eli was only successful because of the line he had in those superbowls run. Not sure if i totally agree with him. Eli doesn't escape the pocket and Tyree doesn't catch that ball over his head Eli would have one less SB ring. Don't think Kirk would have been as elusive as Eli was.

I wasn't gonna say anything, but yeah, Kirk found another way to fit a foot in his mouth.

What does that even mean? lol...

What he did a very poor job of saying is that he isn't going to let Covid hang over his head in everything he does.

“I want to respect other people’s concerns, but for me personally, if you’re talking no one else can get the virus, what is your concern you could get it? I’d say I’m going to go about my daily life. If I get it, I’m going to ride it out. I’m going to let nature do its course. Survival of the fittest kind of approach and just say if it knocks me out, it knocks me out. I’m going to be OK. Even if I die, I die. I kind of have peace about that. That’s really where I fall on it, so my opinion on wearing a mask is really about being respectful to other people. It really has nothing to do with my personal thoughts.”

It annoys me when people say they don't care anymore, often they're saying it as an excuse for why they're taking no precautions whatsoever and risking everyone else around them. Kirk doesn't make himself look favorable at all, but he did say he'll still wear his mask out of respect for others. As long as he at least observes guidelines to not spread it to other people, we don't really need him or other people to like it.

That said, if I were his teammate I'd be giving him the stink eye.

My interpretation of that quote is that he just doesn't believe the COVID hype, Kirk doesn't want to die, he has children plus he can gouge the NFL for at least another $60M before they realize he's just an above avg QB.
