Bro, the Rams are stacked. Was this sarcasm?

I don't know anything about their OL, but if you're right, Cousin's will get hurt.

1) *points to nose and then to TheShredder*

2) Kirk is one tough s.o.b....doubt he gets hurt.

Kirk really doesn't take many nasty hits. Hence no concussions and major injuries. God knows he's had a line capable of it at times with all the injuries on the OL.

Yes, Kirk was really in a chuck and duck situation with all the injuries to the Skin's line last season.  As I understand it the Vikings are hoping to get all of their starting OL on the field opening day.  As for the quality of their OL, I will have to see.   Viking fans criticize the quality of their OL because their QBs have been injured.  I understand Case Keenum was very patient in the pocket whereas Kirk Cousins has a quick release.

Yeah he's tough but when you play behind this type of OL...it's a long season bro!  I don't wish for anyone to get hurt, just don't like his odds.  Teams are going to go after him.  He puts the ball on the ground and throws INT's historically.  With a more then suspect OL, the formula for beating the Vikes will be to go after Cousins.  You can be the toughest SOB in the league, but Cousins is no Brett Favre.

It was safe to charge after Kirk when he was a Redskin because the Skins didn't have a running game, they have one in Minnesota and Cousins releases quicker that Keenum.  Kirk started 48 straight for the Skins and I expect him to start 16 for a much better and more balanced team.  Can't wait for the season to start!

It was very underwhelming, yes.

Actually, the running game wasn't bad it was the passing game that was off.

Kirk was also back at throwing to a well-covered receiver 2 yards behind the LOS on 3rd and 5. Hopefully, we will see less of that.

I wonder if we'll see another one of those highlight videos, "Every throw by Kirk Cousins"

Nope, you have to settle for every run by Mike Boone, pay attention, this guy could be on our team in a few weeks.

Interesting, I was actually thinking of another guy on the VIkings squad, with a similar name, who they actually stole from us : Mack Brown.

I really liked him, when he was with us, and wonder what happened to him.

He's 3rd on the depth chart ahead of Boone, he didn't play today for whatever reason.

Actually looks like he's below Boone and Roc Thomas, at 5th or lower

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000949099/article/what-we-learned-from-saturdays-preseason-games

"The preseason battle for the Vikings' third tailback job is heating up between a pair of undrafted rookies. Bruising back Mike Boone showed off Saturday. The Cincinnati product ran with bombastic power, good speed to the edge and violent finishes. He finished with 91 rushing yards on 13 carries (7.0 average) and a TD, looking like an early-career Chris Ivory. Roc Thomas, who flashed last week, looked solid again. The versatile tailback compiled 25 rushing yards on five carries and two receptions for 12 yards. Thomas' dual-threat capabilities might give him an edge to play the Jerick McKinnon role behind Dalvin Cook and Murray. The two rookies should get plenty of reps the rest of the preseason in a battle to see which will make the roster. Saturday's tilt, however, showed that each should be on an NFL team somewhere."

Same reason he never played here I'd guess.

He did play in the regular season, and had a huge game against the Bears a couple years ago, for us.

But only because everyone else was injured?  I don't remember. If you can't seriously challenge Rob Kelley for playing time, how good can you be? Fat Rob is a marginal NFL RB on his best day.

On his best day - Rob rushed 24 times for 137 yards for 5.7 ypc and a 66-yarder and 3 TD's.

And that was without Trent WIlliams.

Weird stuff happens once in a blue moon.  Timmy Smith?  Take out his 66 yard fluke and he had 71 yards on 23 rushes. That's him on his best day.

Why take it out ?

Generally I wouldn't. He earned the 66 yards. Just pointing out its far from his norm and an outlier. Our running backs are crap. Crap. Its why we've been a one trick pony offense for the last 3 plus years. Even when our one trick was really good it was beatable because nobody had to seriously defend our run game. Focus on shutting down our one strength and chuckle a little when we hand off. Rob is a 3rd string, emergency running back. We are all excited because he slimmed down a little this season. That's how bad its been.
