Hitman56
I watched the Chad Morton return for TD again and it looked to me like the reason for the run was just sloppy tackling by the Saints, not good blocks by the Skins. I was hoping that maybe our special teams have gotten better, but apparently not.
Art
Actually, what disturbed me about that run is from above there was a 20-yard gaping opening on the other side of the field. Had Chad turned that way five yards earlier, he'd have walked in for a touchdown untouched. Instead, he slammed right into the middle of where they were and should have been tackled. Sometimes I wonder if we allow enough imagination from our guys on special teams to take advantage of things that are open to them or if we force them to run right where they are told to run every play. Canadian Hog
Let's celebrate the fact that Chad finally returned one for a TD. I agree, Chad should have been wrapped up and tackled by at least one Saints player as far as I can remember. But we've had such an unpleasant season that I'm willing to ignore this fact and focus on a bright spot for once.
Ignatius J.
Bad tackling or horrendous angles are required by any team that gives up a special teams touchdown. It does not damage the feat. -DB
