hail2skins
Legendary football (and other sports) broadcaster for NBC, CBS, and ESPN passed away at 82. Even though he was on the AFC networks and thus didn't broadcast a whole lot of Redskins games, his was the voice a lot of us heard for a relatively insignificant play in Skins history: RIP Dick....."Oh my!!!" SkinsGuy
Back in the 1980s, I used to love watching Gibbs' Redskins beat down on their opponent that week at 1pm, them I would change the channel to NBC (who had the AFC Sunday afternoon schedule at that time) at 4pm to watch the "Game of the Week", usually called by Enberg and his partner Merlin Olsen and usually involving AFC West teams (they were the strength of the AFC at that time). A great time to be a football fan. R.I.P. Mr Enberg
pjfootballer
I actually liked the NBC announcers more than I did the CBS announcers in the 80s. I loved when the Redskins played an AFC team on NBC. Charlie Jones was my favorite. He had a distinct voice. RIP Dick Enberg. One of the best.
