rdsknbill
Be prepared. The Jetster trolls will be out in full force today. Especially after they pulled of an improbable win against the ailing Titans. The NY papers are still using the "Pennington reminds many of Joe Montana" line, after the win and a 101.2 QB rating last night. I would expect to see NYC running his lemon, as well as Flow rolling in to grace us with his "unbiased" analysis of why Pennington is better then Ramsey, and Moss is better than Coles. I hope that I'm wrong, bu being that they have a better record than our beloved Redskins, I feel that it is inevitable. :jetssuck: :troll:
jbooma
Moss is a great team player, he just let Chad get picked off so he wouldn't get hit  Reminds me of that commercial, there is we in team either :rotflmao:

Om
No doubt there will be a Jet fan or two unable to resist crowing a bit today ... but I'm not going to let that detract from what Chad Pennington is showing. The man gives every indication of being The Real Thing ... and so far has answered the questions I had about whether or not his smarts and game sense would be enough to overcome a quite average arm. The guy seems to have "it." Despite the pain in the ass that will come from dealing with the incessant fawning over him that will come from both the NY media and Jet fans, the fact is it's going to be a football fan's pleasure to watch this kid craft what could be a sterling career. NASMTrainer
He's a great player. One has to wonder. If he was playing on opening night, would we have won that game? I think not.
Dr. D
yea I have no problems bearing the taunting from those that wisht to. Chad is a wonderful leader and QB;Real difference maker. The jets have matured through a trying season and are playing right now with purpose and fire. I am envious.
SonnyJ
Pennington is very impressive. He makes good, quick decisions and is very accurate. He just oozes confidence. The rest of the team naturally picks up on that and feeds off of it. That is the quality that Ramsey is lacking right now. I think the team believes in him, but he doesn't fill them with confidence, thereby elevating their play. A QB who isn't a scrambler has to be quick and decisive with his throws. If Ramsey can develop into that, this offense WILL take off.
@DCGoldPants
breaking news we beat the Jets when we played them. Any smack in our direction can be simply followed up by "Scoreboard"
Flowtrain
Come on now. Are you saying that on this messageboard the jabs can only be dished out, but not received? Are the Mods changing the site's name to from ExtremeSkins.com to ThinSkins.com? I'll decline to pile on the Skins after a 1-7 stretch out of respect for the board. But as for the Jets, on national TV, they outplayed a team considered by many to be the best team in football. In a season that started out 0-4 when Pennington went down, I was pretty satisfied as I watched in the frigid Meadowlands as a team snakebitten this season with injuries stepped up and gave a glipse of what could've been this season and what we hope will be in the future. Pennington only has a mere 17 starts in the NFL and for brand new QBs over that time, he is #1 in HISTORY in completion % and #2 in QB Rating. I agree that the Montana comparisons are premature, but he only seems to be improving, only says the right things, and only wants to win. The Jets have a ways to go, but I don't think I'd want anyone else driving the bus.

Until then he's just another product of the NY media hype machine.
Flowtrain
Right. Forget stats, wins, or even general performance for that matter. Unless a QB wins a Super Bowl, any praise whatsoever is premature. Dilfer is the man.

Zen-like Todd
Your team is 5-7. Why on earth did you bother coming over here? We beat your team. You lost. That's it. We don't care about your team anymore. We're not in your division. Yes, our team sucks. Whoopie. Your team sucks too. It won't make the playoffs. Again... what are you doing here? Hog Fever
Why on earth did you bother coming over here? That’s what I keep asking myself when I see Jet fans on this board. Yes, we played a game with your team earlier this year and……………that’s it. That was months ago. Further examination of that game is pointless. If you’d like to make a meaningful comment about the Redskins I might be interested in what you have to say, otherwise it just seems a little sad to me. Of course you can do whatever you want. I’m not into arguing online. I will just go back to actively ignoring your posts.

Our relationship with Jets fans are permanently intertwined for the next few years since we signed away four of their best players. It was the same way with Carolina fans a few years ago with the Gilbert heist.
Om
Actually, Kevin, the four players we signed actually were vastly overrated and the Jets scammed us by suckering Snyder into signing them. Don't believe me? Just wait ...

I realize that, but somehow I still don't care what Jet fans think of our team. Players change teams every year. You don't see me hanging around the Panthers board talking garbage. Do you think they adding anything to the board? I could care less about the Jets. I don't even waste time disliking them. That's why their fans lingering around here puzzles me so much. Riggo-toni
Hey guys, Why are WE piling on Flowtrain now? All he did was say he's happy to see the progress his team is making. If we were to win our next 4 games, I'll bet a lot of us would be enthused even in the absence of playoffs to see our team finally progressing instead of regressing. That said, the Jets from what I understand are going to be in serious cap jail next year at the same time that Pennington and their stud DEs become free agents. Hog Fever
I’m not piling on anyone. I’m glad he’s happy for his team. It just seems odd that he chooses to express his happiness at a REDSKINS message board. I have no problem with any fan of another team who chooses to hang out here and make a useful contribution but frankly wouldn’t they find a more receptive audience at…….I don’t know……the Jets message board. Again, it’s nothing personal (Flow might be a great guy) I just simply don’t care about the Jets enough to have to see their posts all over this board. If I wanted that I’d hang out at the Jets message board. I read every thread on this board and here’s what I see: It seems to me that every thread that involves a Jet fan degenerates into a flame war. We knew they were coming today and sure enough here they are. Why? If it looks like a troll, and acts like a troll then it's troll. If you dig that stuff, fine. I don’t. Storm
I guess Sandra Moss ought to put on a friggin dress. :rotflmao: okay thats funny. But seriously when is he gonna be a free agent so we can reunite him with Coles? Flowtrain, your team played well last night and Pennington was impressive. I hope Ramsey continues to improve like that. Its nice to see underdog teams bring top five teams like the Titans down like that.
