Would Keeping BDW have made any difference?

We cut Wilkinson when he wouldn't take a pay cut from his admittedly bloated 3.5m salary. But, we could've kept him and stayed under the cap. We let him loose cuz we wanted to extend Champ, but that fell through anyway. Considering how close most of our games have been, and how the DL has so often been to blame, would we have won significantly more games w/ Big Daddy still in the lineup? I will confess, I haven't bothered to see how he's been doing in Detroit ...cuz who gives a d@mn about the Lions??....:silly:

With what we had before Russell, no. Once we signed Russell, yes. BDW would have taken some double teams and allowed our blitzing LB's to get inside, or even allowed Russell to beat a single team, causing the opposing QB to rush out of the pocket or back, where our DE's have been.

AMEN!! Darryl was playing so well last year...should've been in the Pro Bowl (if that merits anything.) Sorry to see what has transpired in Denver. You wonder if that would have happened if he was still in DC...DG and Russell makes a pretty formidable middle 2. Interesting to see what happens with DG in the offseason...back in DC?
