jbooma
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/writers/peter_king/12/01/mmqb/index.html I am not posting the entire article but just some blurbs: c. I'll tell you who is having an absolutely invisible but extremely good season: Dan Wilkinson. (he did look good against the packers ) h. You can't tell me Steve Spurrier hasn't entertained some fond thoughts of Chapel Hill during the last couple of weeks.
yank
Steve Spurrier had no fond thoughts of Chapel Hill. That's where Carolina is. Duke is in Durham.

Symbol
Spurrier, NC needs you. The Redskins can do without you. Leave, and please don't ever come back. Don't even turn and look back, just leave. As the old saying goes, you don't have to go home, you just have to get out of here.
freakofthesouth
:puke: For f**k's sake. Spurrier is a good coach, just give these players some time. The team doesn't suck, they just can't put it all together yet. I'll agree w/ you Symbol if the same thing happens next season.
Kilmer17
What has Spurrier shown you that makes you think he's a good coach?
freakofthesouth
Kilmer, I don't even want to start this conversation. Just give him one more year. If it's the same deal next year, then I will be the first to kick his a*s out on the street. This team needs contunuity, not a new coach.

redman
Originally posted by jbooma the next paragraph it talks about why he left, and yes that is a shot at the skins Here's the next paragraph: d. Bet you don't even know who he plays for now. Wilkinson, the perpetual underachiever at defensive tackle, signed with Detroit before the season, and he was phenomenal in crashing through the Packers line and helping hold Ahman Green to 57 yards Thursday. Nothing new there. The man's playing very well. It calls him "a perpetual underachiever" - no compliment to him - and doesn't even mention the Redskins. Where's the shot at us? I think you're being oversensitive here. The Spurrier stuff is (admitted) speculation, but this is totally benign.

Um, this team has better talent than last year with a worse record so far. What makes you think this team (a) doesn't currently suck and ( is going to get better next year? What makes you think this team (a) doesn't currently suck and ( is going to get better next year? Because the Skins are playing a top 5 ranked toughest schedule this year to a twenty something ranked schedule last season. The games we play even in a loss, is competitive, and are only a play or two from a win, where as last season when we lost we looked bad, and usually gave the game away on turnovers or stupid mistakes. In two of the three losses some questionable judgments by the officials gave both the Saints & the Panthers a big advantage in their wins. We have had several key injuries this season, and though we improved the talent on offense, we took a huge step back wards in the level of talent on the DL from last year. Judging the improvement of a team can not be solely based on W/L's, but rather how they play in getting those win and loses, especially against quality opponents,
