When Dad worked and mom stayed home to take care of the kids in the house they owned... .....families had one car ..........that car was minimalist .....meals were homemade ...........restaurant trips was a rare luxury ......credit was a running tally at the hardware store or boutique. Credit cards weren't a thing. .......college wasn't an expectation, kids started working at 14 to help contribute to the home and start saving for their adulthood .....people lived modestly and within their means People feeling entitled to WEALTH not just basic wellbeing is the delta, not income.
