Same reasoning I've heard a few times from black folks explaining why they oppose the gays who were fighting their version of Jim Crow. "My people managed to overcome Jim Crow. And it took a lot of fighting and blood. So **** any other minority group who comes along and wants me to help them get what my people got for me." I believe theres some truth to the number of Hispanics that dont like illegal immigration versus blacks feeling the republican party is against them no matter what. You can make the arguement GOP reaches out to Hispanics because they need the votes but only pretend to reach out to blacks so they appear less racist. Tom Steyer is almost close to qualify, so he might be candidate 11. If the Dems are smart, they should divide the debates into 2 nights. You can have a stronger debate by splitting the qualified field of 10/11 candidates into 2 nights. They aren't smart and won't do it though.
