SkinsHokieFan
Avanetti needs to be on the debate primary stage. He does 2 things 1) prep the Dem who does win to face Trump 2) Go for the throat at Trump and be a surrogate bulldog in ‘20 The Dems are too damn nice. They need to make Trump look like the weak guy he is

The problem was he chose one of Trump's most constant beliefs. It's like saying he would be the most humble person if it got him 5 more votes. He doesn't have it in him to do that or be a champion of civil rights. The Republican base has ruled it out. Go home and be a family man, Jeff. A GOPer showing dignity and integrity, while identifying his party's vile rhetoric, is indeed surprising.

That's really nice that he said that, but many of the republicans that did win are Trump supporters, especially in the house. In our new partisan lean formula, 2016 presidential election results are weighted 50 percent, 2012 presidential election results are weighted 25 percent, and results from elections for the state legislature are weighted 25 percent. † Assuming the incumbent wins a special election in 2018. ^ Sen. Jon Kyl was appointed to serve out the remainder of the late John McCain’s term but has declared he will not run for a full term in 2020. The GOP has more seats to defend in 2020 but one thing on their side, they are defending Red state seats. The Dems are going to need a strong nominee to help lift their Senate candidates. A strong Presidential nominee will bring out more Dem voters; which will help down the ballot.
Momma There Goes That Man
Iowa, NC, Maine and Colorado are golden opportunities and a strong Prsidential candidate could easily bring that home. That’s the majority right there even if we lose Jones because of the VP tie-breaker. Think AZ could be in play too for us after Sinema’s apparent win and some of the demographic shifts there
