so the timeline goes like this:

1- Trump‘s Campaign is widely reported to be short of funds.  Trump even discusses the possibility of spending his own money, an unthinkable situation for a sitting president that’s been essentially fund raising for four years,

2- Trump is losing badly, largely because he failed as a leader during a pandemic.  He knows this, it’s an inescapable reality that even Fox News can’t hide.

3- Trump then asks HHS to spend 300 million of public money on propaganda about his COVID response.

These dots aren’t terribly hard to connect.

Biden should mention it during the debates.  He won’t though because his campaign would rather he babble about how he cares about people and stuff.  Like really cares.  A lot.  All the time.  Right now in fact, Biden is somewhere deeply caring.  About you.  But not Trump, because he’s a dick.

Also hyped. I expect Biden to invoke the dignity of the office a lot. Contrast will be self-evident.

I would suggest Biden to remember Mark Twain's quote:

Quote

“Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

I had a wedding food delivery in Louisa County tonight..about 40 miles west of Richmond and halfway to Charlottesville. Pretty much red part of Va. Shocked to see 10-2 Dem posters in probably 20 homes. Not all had signs but a clear majority Democrat - Biden/Spanberger/Warner in an area I would expect pure red.

I'm encouraged...

This is pretty worrying to me because it indicates that, while Trump is far to lazy and stupid to do this research himself, there are definitely smarter people inside his admin who are focused on it and have told him about it. Probably Barr.

I think Trump challenging multiple state election results, trying to stall until it gets past the Dec 14th date for electors to vote without either candidate reaching 270, and then having it go to the House where they'll essentially appoint him POTUS is completely in play.

A bevy of retired military officers and veteran entrepreneurs, including seven former service chiefs, recently retired chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford and nine other four-stars, have endorsed a campaign to make sure military votes are counted among the avalanche of mail-in ballots expected in the upcoming presidential election.

The "Count Every Hero" effort, funded by RepresentUs -- a "cross-politics" nonprofit focused on election integrity and political corruption, aims to make sure that service members' votes are "counted before election winners are declared by candidates, election officials and media outlets."

Chaired by retired Marine Corps Gen. Anthony Zinni, Count Every Hero is promoting efforts to educate troops on registering to vote and requesting absentee ballots, regardless of duty station.

"We count on our troops to fight for our freedom, so we owe it to them to count their ballots. No candidate should be declared an election winner until all military ballots are counted," Zinni said.

Among the former service chiefs who have endorsed the campaign are Dunford, who was also commandant of the Marine Corps; former Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey, former Air Force Chief of Staff John Jumper, former Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan Greenert and three former Coast Guard commandants: Adms. Jim Loy, Thad Allan and Paul Zunkuft.

Joining the chorus are retired Army Gens. Wesley Clark and Stanley McChrystal; Navy Adms. Steve Abbot, Tom Fargo and James Ellis; and Air Force Gens. Howell Estes, Lester Lyle and Gregory Martin.

The results underscore Trump's precarious position as the first president in 81 years of modern polling never to achieve majority approval for his work in office. He's at 44% approval among all Americans, ranging from 52% for handling the economy to 40% on the coronavirus outbreak. Fifty-eight percent disapprove of his performance on the pandemic, a key to Biden's support.

At the same time, the presence of Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen and Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins could pose a challenge to Biden in close states. Biden's 5-point decline when these candidates are included is a significant, albeit slight, shift.

See PDF for full results, charts and tables.

Biden continues to trail Trump, by 20 percentage points, in strong enthusiasm among their respective likely voters in this poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates. Still, another measure finds broad antipathy toward Trump: Among those who don't support him, 59% say his reelection would be a crisis for the country. Among those not backing Biden, fewer -- but still 50% -- say it'd be a crisis if he won.

For me one of the biggest takeaways from that poll is...

40% of Americans approve of Trump's handling of COVID-19.

Jesus ****ing Christ. He could probably literally drop deuces on the caskets of COVID victims and they'd still saying he was doing a great job.

It's almost like people didn't think he was serious that he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and he'd still get all these votes. The GOP has no morals.

I close my eyes and I see the 2012 map all over again, except Arizona for Ohio.

326.

All this is window dressing because Trump is losing... bigly. He has no way to turn it around and wants to slash and burn as much as he can on the way out.

This continues to worry so many, because we all keep taking the bait.

Fast forward to a year and change from now while he’s holding paid rallies, bilking those from those mouth breather, bragging about his 3 justices and how he saved America from Socialism.

I bet he’s looking forward to it.  He won’t be burned from even having to feign being an adult anymore.
