biden's lifelong issues with a stutter was revived and spread all over the media for weeks just recently, but then died down...i think it was 60 minutes even did a special segment on it or someone did, and the topic was all over every network for a couple weeks

and he also makes gaffes too, but a lot of stuff that gets put in the gaffe category is often more related to him managing the stutter...and did i mention he also does make gaffes

as to which time is what, i have never thought it mattered with joe

all along his obvious level of basic competent operation in the mechanics of government, even at the national level,  is and always was fine, and current signs of aging all seem like he's doing better than average to most  reasonable eyes, or at least average

plus, the stumbles are nearly always trivial in nature and i don't recall ever seeing any chain of clips of actual substantive bombs, or even one i can remember, let alone such miscues being as "wtf" in any category as the daily droolings of every goper supporting this admin

It’s the only thing to feel good about right now in regards conservativism

It turns out not so many of the people that used to claim to be conservatives, are not willing to do their all to right a wrong. At least LP is.

From what I've seen online...

I said from the start the only way the Dems could screw this up was go hard left and make moderated think twice about what it is they want to support.

I was mostly met with a “we don’t need your votes” type of response.

covid19 changes the math there a bit but the potential remains.

Not Trump. He’s the bridge to the past; which is why so many dummies voted for him.

True in a sense, untrue in a sense.  I totally agree that Trump is very backwards looking.  He also created a brand new GOP going forward, which does not bode well for America (one that does not believe in science or anything else they don't want to believe, but does believe in conspiracy theories, accepts corruption, etc.).

This conversation is going to continue for a very long time, my point that Bernie's agenda wasn't rejected, trying to get it through democratic socialism was.  So any of the issues he raised people wanted address, just not at the expense of capitalism.

I don't understand how you separate the two.  The only thing Bernie was offering was democratic socialism.  He got crushed.

Biden's most famous "gaffe" ever was when he called Obamacare "a big ****ing deal" because he said the F word.  I mean, think about that for a second.    :ols:

I still don't believe we are having an honest conversation on what that is then.

I think his worst gaffe was when he tried to honor that guy in the wheelchair and asked him to stand up for a round of applause.

In fairness, he recognized the misstep immediately and looked pretty embarrassed. On top of that, he just auto piloted. Our language is geared towards statements like "stand up" or "step forward" or "took giant strides," etc.

Another good one.  We are, of course, comparing these to suggesting that injecting disinfectant might be a solution for covid, or taking the side of Nazis soon after one of them murdered a woman on camera, or whatever else one might consider to be Trump's worst gaffe.

I think the fundamental difference between Joe Biden's gaffes and Trump's  is that Biden's are actual gaffes. They're slip ups, mistakes, bloopers. Trump's, on the other hand, are usually intentional acts of malice that he gets so much blow back from that the White House trots out the "he was making a joke line" only for Trump to either deny it was a joke or come straight back to that point a week later.

When he does make a gaffe, one of Trump's terrible qualities is he can't bear the idea that someone might laugh at him so his ego forces him to double down. I think that's what this whole "don't wear masks" boils down to. Trump made an uninformed decision and when the medical field and reality contradicted him, he was so afraid of looking bad and losing face, that he turned it into a major "patriotic" and "rights" based issue. That failure in his character, his inability to address his mistakes, has cost us tens of thousands of lives. Maybe hundreds of thousands.

I call the tweet bs until I see the full clip...if true, that’s a helluva thing to say about someone based on his track record.

Never give Trump the benefit of the doubt. He will always let you down.

Apparently, the veep finalists are Rice and Harris.  I'll still go with Rice, the person he knows better.

Not sure if VP choice will matter but I'd have not narrowed it down to those two. Personally think there are handful of better options for VP for Biden. But if true, looks like this means Rice.

I'm bored as hell today, so I just randomly started thinking... Trumpets are obsessed "The Wall" and such, but what happens to it if he's defeated? And what h a's opens to the detainees near the border?

Could a theoretical President Biden immediately free them the moment his term starts? I'd totally free them then have all the kids knock that stupid ass thing over.

Most of the wall is being funded (illegally IMO) by executive order to redirect Pentagon funds towards its construction. As soon as a President Biden is sworn in, he could cease it the same day.

As far as the detainees, who knows. But at least Biden won't have people in charge of immigration who actively hate and want to torment brown people as much as humanly possible.

It seems pretty clear from the video....  Unless you think he was referring to someone else?
