Trump is a guy literally offering pardons to folks willing to break the law. Dude tried to end an investigation into himself multiple times. People still acting like he won't try to pull some BS. If he can find someone to go along with his order that's all he needs.

Not only that, but does anyone think Russia is sitting this one out?

We can look forward to a summer-worth of doctored pics about Bernie in the Communist party or Biden molesting teenage girls making their way directly from Russian intel propaganda sources to right wing facebook groups to Fox News and being tweeted by Trump and his ****head kids.

You all remember 2016 right? ****ing "pizzagate," Seth Rich, etc. So much bull**** being created and pushed all over the place, and Republican voters are too stupid to tell the difference between what is real and what is blatantly fake.

Everyone has been vouching for Kamela for months even though she has barely said crap about her platform and most of what we know about Harris is that she locked up marijuana users as California's AG.

You havent even tried to look up any information about her have you?

Generally speaking, I like Cory.  He doesn't quite rise to Obama levels of cool, but he'd be a decent President.

But this is a red line for me.  Not even a conversation?

I'm tired of these political cowards. He won't get my vote in the primary.

I don't trust the DNC to endorse any candidate that isn't Harris or Beto or someone friendly and "agenda friendly". Everyone has been vouching for Kamela for months even though she has barely said crap about her platform and most of what we know about Harris is that she locked up marijuana users as California's AG.

You know what that means. The DNC would never ever endorse Bernie. At least based on 2016. Let us hope they open their eyes and realize the best candidates to defeat Trump.

If Biden jumps in everyone else is second place. Old "creepy man" Biden. 😂

the DNC hit gold with Obama. A marketable young senator with a great slogan. Seems to be striking out more often now. Hillary was a pretty bad candidate. Biden would just be meh. I want someone young and new. It's new blood time.

The DNC shouldn't endorse an avowed Independent. He's not a Democrat except for when he wants attention.

Also I'd suspect any candidate should wait to discuss the impeachment question until the full unredacted Mueller report is available. As of this morning, the House Dems are subpeonaing and trying to get it.

Maybe Cohen will fill in the blanks some more too (like he said he would yesterday).

I'd suspect Coulter is latching onto this interview from 2015. She wants him to change back to this I guess?

Ezra Klein

You said being a democratic socialist means a more international view. I think if you take global poverty that seriously, it leads you to conclusions that in the US are considered out of political bounds. Things like sharply raising the level of immigration we permit, even up to a level of open borders. About sharply increasing ...

Bernie Sanders

Open borders? No, that's a Koch brothers proposal.

Ezra Klein

Really?

Bernie Sanders

Of course. That's a right-wing proposal, which says essentially there is no United States. ...

Ezra Klein

But it would make ...

Bernie Sanders

Excuse me ...

Ezra Klein

It would make a lot of global poor richer, wouldn't it?

Bernie Sanders

It would make everybody in America poorer —you're doing away with the concept of a nation state, and I don't think there's any country in the world that believes in that. If you believe in a nation state or in a country called the United States or UK or Denmark or any other country, you have an obligation in my view to do everything we can to help poor people. What right-wing people in this country would love is an open-border policy. Bring in all kinds of people, work for $2 or $3 an hour, that would be great for them. I don't believe in that. I think we have to raise wages in this country, I think we have to do everything we can to create millions of jobs.

This!  The Democratic National Committee will and should endorse a Democrat.  Bernie is trying to hijack the party for his own ends, but he is not, and has never been, a Democrat.  He is also one of the worst choices to face Trump in the general.

I really don't see how Biden loses it unless there is more shocking dirt that actually sticks. That said, his running mate probably needs to be young(ish) and maybe even minority to excite more of the base. A Biden Booker (too New England?) or Biden Harris ticket would be phenomenal (to me).

I still like Beto though.

So, their point here is "Yeah, he won the black district when running against a black candidate who was from that district. But he didn't get 80% of the vote like he got everywhere else."

Joe Biden has been one of the problems for the Democratic party. He is certainly not the solution.

He'll most likely say some dumb **** sooner rather than later. He's a walking talking gaffe machine. His campaign hopefully won't last long.

He wants this. He really wants this. He’s wanted this since he was first elected to the Senate, in 1972, and he’s decided that he isn’t too old, isn’t too out of sync with the current energy in the Democratic Party, and certainly wasn’t going to be chased out by the women who accused him of making them feel uncomfortable or demeaned because of how he’d touched them.

If Joes wanted the office of the presidency so badly why did he sit on the sidelines when the country needed him most?

While certainly tragic similiar tragedy didn't stop him from serving in the Senate in 1972.

Once again if he's wanted it so badly why didn't run in 2016?

His first wife and 1yr old daughter were killed in that accident after the election. Why Biden chose to go on and get sworn in a few months later is a personal choice I have no answer for.

I do suspect it's slightly different that's watching your mid 40s son slowly die from brain cancer over the period of 18 months..but again I don't pretend to know that grief either.

Maybe he felt like he was doing what was best for his party.  It’s understandable that you would fail to comprehend that.
