Democrats strip superdelegates of power in picking presidential nominee

>>Party officials voted at a meeting to strip the party insiders of much of their influence, a big win for the party's base.<<<

But what will the conservatives that pretend they didn't vote for Trump **** about now?

Also..glad to see they fixed many of the problems with the states who use caucuses for their primaries. Paper ballots and absentee votes, bravo. Not more sorting into groups and shouting down the other candidates.

He's running.

He'll most likey be the frontrunner in a wide field. That usually doesn't work out to well in the Dem primary.

I could see Avenatti kamikazi'ing him.

I'm not so sure the Democrats are pragmatic enough to nominate someone capable of beating Trump. The energy is with the Sanders wing of the party and after the 2016 fiasco; the primary voters will likely nominate someone from that wing.

threats to investigate Trump's finances and businesses would "help the president get re-elected" in 2020.

So why aren't Republicans doing it?

Conventions aren't even needed IMO. Dems should scrap the old tired way and use that week/money to go to areas where things need help. Communities that are struggling. Schools. Hospitals. Tell the story of the average American and what they are doing to make ends meet.

the GOP would make fun of this on stage with their pyro and Trump graphics (if he's still around.... gaining what looks like 50+ lbs at his age has to be straining the hell out of his heart), but speech after speech after speech just isn't going to help when you're running against a guy who can get up on stage and say whatever he wants regardless of how big of a lie it might be.
