Ideally trump will wind up in jail or resident in another country fleeing prosecution.

I’m having doubts he’ll even be eligible to run by 2024.

I also can’t imagine him winning. I’m assuming Harris will be the nominee. First black female president? Against trump? Even if he is eligible I don’t see that happening.

I also didn’t see how he could lose to Clinton so what do I know.

He will run, but he won't have the incumbent advantage.

IMO, Biden will have a few advantages.  For one, people will realize that he is not a socialist.  So that argument won't work.  So with that, Florida will be in play.

You are telling me that many people thought and think the VP in the non-socialist Obama administration, who defeated the socialist Bernie Sanders in a primary is a socialist?  I am not as optimisitic about critical thinking in this country.

Florida won't be in play for Democrats for awhile.

It was just a 3% difference.  That difference is not like in Alabama.

Biden barely won Miami.  Hillary won by a lot more.  Surely he can reverse that some.

For whatever reason, the argument worked.

In 2016, Venezuelans and Vietnamese voted for Hillary.  In 2020, the numbers flipped, with Trump winning big.

I will be curious to see how the Democrats can recapture the Cuban-American vote that seemed so important this time around.

Apparently, Trump got 4% more Hispanic vote than in 2016.  I think this was mainly the incumbent advantage. Now, Cubans though flipped big time.

As president, Biden needs to make certain decisions to win back the Cuban and Venezuelan vote.  Look here:

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/10/19/venezuela-trump-florida-magazolano-voter-429443

So Trump made certain decisions that Venezuelan Americans liked, and they voted for him over Biden.

So Biden needs to play the same game.  Make some political decisions to win over certain groups.  There are some flippable groups out there.

Trump will die before 2024 regardless of his family's long life genes. Just look at him.

Junior wants to run, it'll be a fight between him and Ivanka. We need a law against nepotism anyway. Kushner may try to sneak in around the Junior Ivanka fight. Eric is too stupid.

This is why 2022 election is so important, to get the right laws passed before the next presidential election.

I'm not quite sure where the idea that he can run in 2024 is coming from.  I've seen it mentioned on here, I've seen it mentioned in other places but I don't understand the root of it, other than the idea that he's crazy and a wildcard.  Which might be enough.

he’s recanted his recant. Or to better word it, he says he never actually recanted his original story where he cited fraud

"A postal worker from Pennsylvania has signed an affidavit withdrawing allegations that he'd witnessed mail-in ballot tampering in Erie, multiple outlets are reporting."

Yeah, this guy is absolutely a top-quality witness.

Case in point - After four years of Donald Trump, record turnout to support Donald Trump.

The thought of Ivanka or Junior as a realistic candidate for POTUS is beyond nightmare fuel for me. However, coked up Junior does give off big "Dwight Schrute speech" energy so I could see enough of the cult members eating that up if he can keep from ODing.

Jared Kushner has negative charisma so I can't even fathom that happening.

I think it has its roots in the story the other day about the trump spawn making a run for control over the RNC.

I wonder the validity in the non-crazy republicans pulling an okie-doke in him.

fine take the RNC. We’ll start a new party. You’ll be in control of nothing but poor, white nationalists with no power on their own. Congrats.

Can anyone explain the location with similar names meme? It’s been going on for what feels like a week now and I don’t get it. I obviously missed something :(

Trump is eligible to run for a second term in the future. He didn't win a second term; so he can run again.

Think Grover Cleveland. He served 2 nonconsequetive terms. He won his first term and lost reelection. He than ran 4 years later and won a second term.

I'd say his quality depends on the amount of the check.

Nah, no credibility issue here. Move along

Dude has very little credibility at this point. He's also likely in some serious legal trouble no matter what he does. Lying on a sworn affidavit is a crime, as is lying to federal investigators.

So he did either one or the other, and both are crimes. He's backed himself into legal corner.

And yeah...you know you have a weak case when your biggest piece of "evidence" for a massive voter fraud conspiracy (which would have had to flip literally hundreds of thousands of votes across 5 states from one candidate to the other) is one rando postal worker who has told 3 different stories about something he saw.

One of the two of them will probably be in prison. It just depends on which one flips on which. They're Trumps so you know one of them will.

How many of them voted to acquit Donald Trump for diverting government funds so he could extort a foreign government into helping his campaign?

Or, how many of them have publicly admitted that Biden won?  I think it's four.

I understand what you are saying and I agree. What I don't agree with is choosing to point fingers right now and damn them. With things as volatile as they are, I don't think you fan the flames.

Its great that we can sit and say these things on a message board, but I don't want to hear that from our president. I want to hear about unification.

I've had enough of Donald and his divisive rhetoric. We don't need more of that.

But, we have had many more than four Republicans that have come out in support of Biden. I am not talking just about current politicians. I am talking about ex politicians as well as high ranking service members as well.

There are many state and local politicians that are republican and backing Biden. I see it all the time outside of this message board.

I say its time to try to move on and bring a different message. If people don't want to be friendly about this, then stomp them out.

Biden needs to unify right now, not  divide further. I believe he will get more aggressive as time moves on and he gains more control.

Also, as if I need to say this, but screw Trump and his supporters as well as the Senate that thinks this is a sport and they worry more about winning.

But, I Think credit should be given to those Republicans that have voted for Biden and want to see a change. I may not agree with their policies, but they obviously see a problem here and have voted for America.

People are concerned about what would be a 79 year old Trump running in 4 years? Take a step back. Don Jr. isn't gonna be the GOP nominee. He will likely be in rehab at some point. Ivanka isn't a politician. There are too many ego in the GOP that believe they should be next.

It's Giuliani having his presser in front of Four Seasons Landscaping.  People assuming that someone messed up and thought they were booking the Four Seasons Hotel.  I honestly don't know which is worse between those possibilities.

So if he runs, here is the list of people throwing their name in the hat(my guess):

 - Tom Cotton

-  Dan Crenshaw

- Nikki Haley

- Donald Trump

- Marco Rubio

It will be more, but that is all I can think of. Again, Lincoln Project has to put country over party and really think about the next 4-12 years. Trumpism is not going away, it's here to stay.
