Right.  Out of all the Candidates, because everyone is going to hammer him with the "socialism, socialist, commie etc etc" tag, he should be the one out there making it clear that Authoritarianism supersedes anything else good or bad you do as a leader.   That is all that needs to be said about it. Very simple.

He didn’t say that because he doesn’t believe that.  He was and is compelled to point out the positives of far-left authoritarianism because he truly believes that those positives exist.

Thats just Bernie.  That’s aleays been Bernie.  His consistency is admirable.

I'd say the biggest reason it is a red flag is because it is evidence that he is not understanding the type of campaign is he going to be in against the GOP propaganda machine and Trump.

Context isn't going to matter. Nuanced understanding of policy details isn't going to matter. He's going to have to break this **** down, ELI5 this whole thing.

Comments like this simply cannot fit into that. Avoid it like the plague

Right. For better or worse he’s going to run on exactly what he believes. This again is another thing that reminds people of Trump  but with context it has a different meaning.

Its exactly what makes makes people like him and hate him.

I think the establishment is overestimating how well TV ads are going to work against Bernie's base when it comes to the primaries.  On the contrary, all it is going to do is likely hurt his chances with winning over moderates should he end up with the nomination.

The only way the moderates are going to stop the Bernie train is if more of them start dropping them out and the moderate voters end up united to support a specific candidate (or two perhaps) against Bernie.

I hope the Blackrock event for Buttigieg went well. I heard the first 100 entrants received free Raytheon bombardier jackets.

Anyway, apologies to any of the cia operatives here.

The five stages of grief as presented by Krystal Ball: https://youtu.be/6ZAFlqJQDdI

The vid serves as an internal fortitude purity test for those brave enough to enter.

Hope Chris Matthews keeps us updated on the advancement of Bernie stormtroopers across France. What a shameful excuse for profit opining.

Sincerely - a bros

It's probably too late to stop that train, so I wish theyd stop attacking him like they have a chance super Tuesday because all they doing is making Trumps november ads for him.

Beholden to the gun lobby? How do you backtrack from that if he's the nominee?  The worst thing that could happen is a Never Bernie movement by the Dems that costs him the election. Hes going to need all the help he can get whether folks like him or not if hes the nominee.

I actually think he does understand and he thinks he can beat it

If Biden isn't spending on super Tuesday, what will he spend on?  Or is he out of money?

rumors of him having big time money problems have been going around for months. So my bet is he’s out of money

If Bloomberg had been bankrolling Biden instead of himself....

They would never do it, but the most realistic way to stop Bernie would be for the moderates to drop out and support Warren. You're really not going to put a conservaDem in over Bernie without tearing the party apart. Warren is palatable to the establishment while being acceptable to the left. She has relationships with leadership, knows how to work to get things done and is probably even amenable to some small compromises (for example, she knows MFA ain't happening anytime soon and would likely put off that fight). She's the one who runs neck and neck in a potential 1 on 1 vs Bernie, and that's without the others' backing.

That means accepting a liberal nominee (which is very likely to happen one way or another), but if it's really mostly about being worried about an electoral blowout and down ballot triage, that's the way to do something about it.

Best to get attacks out of the way now.

Edit:  I just reread your post.  I think I responded to a point you didn't make.  (So I deleted my response).

Or they're giving him a chance to swat them now, instead of later.

(I hope.)

You know, it's amazing that the CIA hasn't just assassinated him.

If they watch Hardball on MSNBC, they are probably close to drawing up plans as we speak.

The media made a huge deal out of some culinary workers voicing concern about M4A affecting their coverage, but it turns out the majority of them bucked their own bosses and voted for Bernie regardless.  That is what happens when you are looking outside of your own personal interests sometimes. I am sure they have family, friends, others who are struggling with the healthcare issue and see M4A as a the best way forward.  This isn't me necessarily agreeing, but what I am noticing is a lot of the "me-first" views are not working the same way they used to even in situations where the individuals voting might be in a decent situation for themselves at that given time.
