Dissension in the Redskins ranks is starting to show its ugly head

Obviously, when you look back, all those completions, we should have been running the ball. But you've got to believe in your receivers and in your quarterback.

Blah, blah, blah.... I'm sick and tired of Spurrier saying we should have run the ball more after each and every loss. :puke:

Why can't he believe in our roadgraders and running backs?

A: I probably could, but I'm not comfortable right now saying it. You guys may know the stats better than I do. What was our average per run? It's so frustrating. You earn the right to do things in this league. You earn the right to run the ball. You earn the right to do whatever it is, and then you're not allowed to. It's frustrating. It's extremely frustrating.

Reading between the lines here, it is obvious that Jansen thinks the Redskins should be running the ball, instead of passing the ball as soon as they get off the bus.

I think there is dissension in the player ranks with Spurrier as the coach. A bad sign for those who want to give Spurrier a 3rd year as head coach.

This might also help to explain why Samuel's passing blocking has gone to hell this year.

I wonder if Jansen would have kept his big trap shut if some of those dropped passes were actually caught since they probably were the difference in the game. Even though his play has picked up, he can kiss my a$$ and go run block for Carolina or something. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem and Jansen's public questioning of SOS isn't a solution.

While it may not take a genius to stick with what works, spurrier is getting his recievers wide open. When the defense opens up like that, you have to take the risk down the field, or else everything else goes to sh!t. The reason the panthers are doing well isn't just that they run well, but that they pass well when the openings are there. We aren't passing into the open spots that are there. If we just ran, we could win a few more games, probably be 8-8. But until we get the passing to work, we will not be a superbowl contender.

I agree with Jansen. In yet another close game Spurrier calls far more passes than runs. He just doesn't get it.

Why is a QB we've had on the team for a little over a month throwing the ball 40+ times, and a RB that's averaging over 7 yards a pop gets just 16 carries? And where was Betts? 2 carries for 8 yards? Way to get him involved!

Balance is the key, and Spurrier fails to realize this time after time.

The defense lost the game thatnks to Trotter and Champ.

Don't get me wrong, running the ball more sure could have helped, but when we needed them most, the defense once again pooped on themselves.

Thanks Jeramiah. Thanks Champ. Your new contract is coming right up.
