bubba9497
everyone is pointing fingers about this coach or player, or the defense .... explain exactly how they lost the game, what stupid calls , where did the Saints take it to us? Who quit, I saw a good team on Offense, Defense, and Special teams, play a tough fought game, and made some big plays, but was just out played at the end. If Boo Williams drops the TD pass, or if Hasselback hits Coles on that little sideline pass he scores. Different ball game I know where the real blames lies... but I will not post it here... already done vented about that. Penalties aside the Skins played good enough to win. and you can't really fault them on most of the penalties. The Saints were just able to take advantage of the breaks, and we could not over come them. That happens sometimes. It wasn't the coaching, it wasn't the defense, or anything else. We just got beat. Skins26
your right again bubba if there was one thing i thought that we really didnt do well on it was consistantly collapsing the pocket. But we dont have the talent to do that right now, so its expected.

DieselPwr44
When our defense took the field in the 4th quarter??
Muskrat
Champ lost the game...kind of. One penalty WAS his fault...ultimately keeping a drive alive and resulting in a TD. The other penalty was crap and kept the 'go ahead' drive alive....obviously resulting in a score. Champ didn't show a whole lot today, and did several things that hurt the Skins chances of winning the game.

Larry Brown #43
We lost the game in the fourth quarter when Spurrier decided to stop his own effective running game (hey, if the Saints can't stop it, let's stop it for them). Every week, during crunch time, Spurrier decides to completely throw out everything that's been working all day and just go for the home run until he runs out of downs. Kind of hard for the guy to make a play when he's on the sidelines most of the time. I just don't get it why Edwards (at ths point) stick with him and see what he can do. He's better than our whole line period. He's already proven that. How come a previous Pro-Bowl player can't crack the lineup with guys such as Holsey, Dalton (he's been playing well) Chase etc..?? It's just mind boggling.

The Run was working when the Saints were looking for pass. on 3rd & 2(1/2) that pass had as much of a chance to suceed as a run. If Hasselback throws a good pass which he should have, it was a TD. If the Saints stopped a run, everyone would have been ****ing what a stupid obvious call. Rock barley made a third and 1 earlier in the game. Plus there was still over 7 minutes on the clock. You can't blame Spurrier for poor play calling, because a wide open play fails due to poor execution by Hasselback. He caught the Saints with their pants down, and we missed it. Cope
In my opinion the game was lost with 6 minutes or so left in the 4th quarter. It was 3rd and 2 and we went for a deep pass instead of the first down. Had it been Ramsey, maybe the call is excusable, but it wasn't. Had Gardner been in, maybe, but he wasn't. We had a good drive going throwing the short stuff but he went away from it and it cost us.
JerseyGator
If they convert that 3rd down pass, Spurrier's a genius. It's not a real hard pass to complete. Coles set it up well. Again the QB is green and couldn't make the third string of the Eagles. I frankly thought they should have tried that play earlier in the game though. Spurrier has relied on that type of play a lot in the past. It all comes down to execution. It wasn't a bomb. I think it should have been tried at least once instread of a flanker screen earlier in the game.
Larry Brown #43
The problem I have with that play is that it's a timing pattern. For a timing play to work, everything has to click perfectly. If the receiver gets bumped, it doesn't work. If the QB doesn't throw it perfectly, it doesn't work. A lot can go wrong. We've never...even going back to the Norv days...had luck with those timing patterns. The moment the ball left Tim's hand I cringed.
