Mad Mike
One of the things I love about living in Daytona Beach is the anual events. This week it is the Turkey Rod Run. It's a giant hot rod show at the speedway and for a week we are treated to seeing some of the coolest custom cars on the planet roaming the streets here in DB. I went out yesterday to take in some of the action and I thought I would share a few pics I took. Enjoy. How would you like to get your groceries in this bad boy? Mad Mike
But the best thing about the Turkey Rod Run is seeing the cars on the street.

Tarhog
Cool cars Mike, thanks for sharing. Some of those brought back childhood memories....anyone else remember those 'Krazy Kars' (not sure that was the name, but something like that) cards/stickers that came packaged like baseball cards? They were hot in the early 70's (yeah, I know some of you weren't born yet)!

Om
Can't say as I'm particularly proud of myself. And I think I may be off sex for a while too. Sigh ... sometimes my muse is a sick sonofab. * So ... nice wheels, Mike. Got anything in a Javelin?

skinsfan44
Nice pics, Mike. I would like to see more. I always come down to Daytona Beach for Bike Week in Feb/March and Biketoberfest in October, but I have never been there for the Turkey Rod Run. But this coming year (2004) I won't be coming to Bike Week. Instead, I am going to St. Thomas, so I think for 2004, I will come down for Biketoberfest and stay for the Turkey Rod Run too. Unless there is a Redskins home game between both events, then I would have to make a road trip back for the game.
riggins44
Awesome pics Mike. Any Stang pics? I hosted the local Mustang club back in early September. Most were of the 'stock' variety. There was an awesome 68 Shelby and one guy had a 68 with 390 4barrell. Both were sweet cars and would have loved to stretched their legs.
Mad Mike
Damn. The I thought I had a pic of a 69 but after Om's disturbing post, maybe it's best we drop that subject. Did someone say Mustang? I have owned two. A 65 and a 70 Mach 1 with the shaker hood so I had to grab a pick of this 70 Boss 302.
Mad Mike
OK. I don't have any pics of a Chevelle. How about this sick pro-street Chevy II?
Mad Mike
Same Chevy II from the front. Look at how low it has been dropped. BTW if you look at the pic if the rear notice the wheel tubs for the slicks rising above the level of the rear window.
