I haven't heard any Democrats saying that Biden got one over on McCarthy. It's the Republicans who are pissed about this deal and are blaming McCarthy.

Biden and the Democrats are staying quiet on this one.

Just go a couple of posts up where Newsome said “look what he did to McCarthy.” That implies that Biden got one over on McCarthy. Also, there have a few that have said it. I just don’t want them to go that route. Attack them for everything else, but let’s not pretend they’re stupid and insult their intelligence on a national stage even if they may be.

Go after their policies and use their own words against them. That’s good enough. But, they really don’t do that much.

I disagree.

the best thing you can do to a bully is punch them in the mouth.

dems are always so passive. They rely on voters being rational, on politicians having morals and ethics. That if people would just listen to their long logical explanations, they’d get it. they chase every ****ing stick off the porch like a good dog, and never stop and take the time to set the narrative and make the republicans do some stick chasing.

calling them out during the state of the union about cutting social security was an OK start

going after their turmoil in making McCarthy look week and fracturing their party in the legislature is exactly what they should do

stop pretending there’s something to be gained by good faith or moral high ground. Start fighting the fight by the same rules as the other guy.

stop looking so passive and weak all the time. Voters hate weak people.

Im not saying they should take the moral high ground. They need to attack constantly and they don’t.  I just think some people need to be used. I feel McCarthy in this situation needs to be used. This is just my position from the outside. I think he is more valuable if you let him continue thinking he is getting one up on you. Let him believe in himself and you manipulate him.

im mainly saying this because of his position and the need to work with him in negotiations. I’m solely speaking on McCarthy here.

Wasn’t Trump in the hospital for something no more harmful than the common cold or a hoax, depending on which Repub you ask? That’s pretty weak if you ask me.

I’m totally shocked places that seem to be behind modern social norms like accepting people, being kind to people who aren’t like you, and understanding the total set of ramifications with the abortion/birth control stuff, are not great for the well-being of young people.

Totally shocked.

Think they're just talking metaphorically?

That would be a stupid bet to make.

People don’t think what happened to the  Jews under the Nazis, could happen again.  They are wrong. Trump or even Desantis gets in, don’t think they won’t start killing those that don’t fit into whatever these magas are.

My problem is exactly the opposite.  It's the people who believe that you cannot compare someone to the Nazis, unless railroad cars are taking people to gas chambers.  As long as they stop just short of that point, then no comparison is allowed.

It's similar to the belief that it's completely unreasonable to call somebody a racist if he has not participated in a cross burning.

Or that one is not homophobic if he believes that gays should be allowed to exist.

This makes me really mad. When I was a kid I helped pack and move dirt around as well as got to put up some bricks and even have my name scribed into one brick there somewhere. It was a minor effort on my part, but it was huge because the zoo always made me feel like I did something significant when it was first being built. It means a lot to me.

**** desantis

I think I voted for Fine once. His mom was campaigning outside my polling station and said vote for my son.

Since I was still relatively new to area, I said fine.

That funding was for an aquarium near Cocoa but affiliated with the zoo.
