Yeah. I guess I should have stipulated on my board. I wont have a tackle in the first round on my board this year. I will have at least one guard maybe two. This draft is so heavy on the defensive talent though.

I was just thinking that earlier with the Cowboys getting Williams back for a ridiculously cheap fee for a vet. #2. 

 

That's 10 returning starters out of 11 on offense. Which would be 11 if La'el Collins hadn't gone down last year. 

 

Unheard of consistency in this day and age.

Would like a MLB too. But maybe they are targeting one in the draft. There are some legit guys in the first 3 rounds this year.

The top tier guys take the most cap room, always more than expected.

 

Then teams realize they can't pay the 2nd-3rd tier similarly AND fill out their rosters, so the market stagnates a bit.

 

Some of those 2nd-3rd tier guys gamble for next year and hope they'll be tier 1 guys then.

1 sign Hankins or Logan (in that order)

2 cut rjf

3 cut dhall or make him take a paycut

4 cut lauvao

5 sign donta Hightower...unlikely but we need linebacker help

6 draft a FS because we continue to bring in mediocre SS to play FS

Add Bennie Logan to that mix and this would be one of the best FA seasons we have had in a long time. Before the deluge of negativity, I realize signing Kirk is the key to that. I am still certain they will sign him. Until they do something different or the last date passes, the rhetoric from Cousins camp feels like posturing to put pressure on the team. It's how negotiations go.
