We all know that as long as Trump has his lunatic MAGA base (which will be until they die...any of them still with him now are going to be with him no matter how unhinged he becomes), the Rs will never do anything to cross him. And it's increasingly apparent that the Ds don't have to stones to really do anything other than hem and haw and wring their hands over whether their actions would have any voter backlash.
