This would be a good thing if I didn't think Trump would just put someone worse in the job.

It used to be that when you lost a bad Secretary you felt a flash of hope. I should be glad that Nielsen is out (and I am) but I feel this shiver, this premonition of doom that Trump will pick someone far worse. Maybe this time, he'll just tap a Grand Dragon outright or perhaps he'll nominate Sergei Lavrov.

I thought of some worse ideas.

But don't want to mention them, and give them ideas.

Heck, with Stephen Miller leading the reorganization, I don't want to let my imagination off the leash either. He's likely to produce something that gives even twa a second of pause.

What's the average life expectancy of a Trump cabinet secretary?

Here's the thing about the "maybe someone worse would come in" thing.

We already have kids being separated from their parents and then sexually abused in cages.

Like, how much worse is this going to get?  We just going to start outright executing them?*

Sure, maybe she held Trump back on some fronts, like outright closing the border, but on the humanitarian front she helped oversee some of the worse abuses ever perpetrated in the US ever.

*I do not put it past this WH

Never ask this question.

I asked it rhetorically.

We're already putting them in squalid conditions and letting them die from the ensuing sicknesses.

We are quite literally only one step from active homicide.

Stephen Miller will come up with an answer.

About 1 week following any attempt to keep Trump from explicitly breaking the law and/or creating an economic catastrophy.

Can spineless jellyfish actually get repulsed? Paul Ryan's entire career (and legacy) can be summed up by two words.

**** you.

This will become the standard for conservatives when Trump departs and affiliation with him is toxic for your existence in mainstream society.

Then narrative is going to be “We were repulsed by him, but kept quiet for the sake of civility”.

The future of the GOP is the group of people who think DIamond and Silk are amazing. Anyone with a brain is going to be embarrassed to be affiliated with this bunch. And there are going to be a lot of really smart, but morally bankrupt wankers who will try to spin their way out of supporting the worst person to hold office in decades.

😏

Poor triggered faux conservatives.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/immigration-civil-rights-groups-pressure-fortune-500-companies-to-blacklist-former-trump-officials

Quote

Nielsen's name appears on a list that a cabal of immigration and civil rights groups recently sent to the CEOs of American companies, urging them not to hire Trump officials who were involved in last year's separation of migrant children from their families.

Other current and former Trump administration officials targeted include John Kelly, the former White House chief of staff, and Sarah Sanders, the current White House press secretary.

"Some of these individuals have left the administration in recent months," the letter to the CEOs states. "Regardless of when they leave, they should not be allowed to seek refuge in your boardrooms or corner offices. Allowing them to step off the revolving door and into your welcoming arms should be a nonstarter.

Terrible human being

It amazes me that person after person will debase themselves for this guy.  Hey I might have some morals...nah let me be a terrible human being to uphold the crazy policies of this guy...THIS guy.   Throw some more kids in the cages, chop chop.   I hope these folks will be held accountable once this administration is out of power.

Still better than Hillary...because no matter how bad ANY of this is, no matter how many laws he breaks, no matter how many people he hurts it is all better than if that cleft-crotch had been elected...because emails, and socialism, and cigars, and gunz, and the abortions our daughters receive when they get knocked up by the black kid from the wrong side of the tracks...oh wait...
