At the core of every such criticism, you can just see the disdain religious fundies have for a well educated populace.

Got to keep the people nice and dumb so you can pick their pockets clean while promising them the pearly gates of heaven. You might get completely walked over in this life, but trust me sucker, something even better awaits you. You just have to die first!

Longest running scam in human history. Donald Trump and his bootlickers are the perfect representatives for the "traditional values" of raw dogging porn stars and molesting little children.

Love it, great post.

Iirc, everyone believed in reincarnation until some people decided to make money off of the fear of not getting into heaven. (And fwiw, I know I've been here before.) 😉

Then he left to go meet with Rupert Mordoch, to coordinate the messaging for how to help the multiple-confessed criminal he is fanatically loyal to, to avoid justice for his continuing actions.

You know, I used to believe that this whole thing about vampires and such not appearing in mirrors to be a stupid Hollywood gimmick.  I could believe in vampires more easily than I could believe in people who don't show up in mirrors.

But more and more often, when I read a Republican like this throwing around grandiose accusations which he, himself, is actually guilty of, with a perfectly straight face, and I reflect on the notion of satanically evil people who are incapable or unwilling to see themselves in a mirror.  And it's like "the prophecies were right!"

I'm conflicted.  I don't know whether him being incapable of realizing that he's doing these things, or him fully knowing that he's guilty of all of them, and just coldly, calculatedly, lying his ass off, is less hard to believe.

The situation changed in Syria without a change in $$ spent or troops deployed.

what do you think changed there?

Trump told Erdogan he would move our troops out of the way and we would let him slaughter the Kurds with impunity.

Actually, I get the impression Trump is actually letting somebody behind the curtain pick judges for him.  At the very least, handing him a short list.

On his own, he'd probably have appointed Ivanka.  Or Kanye.  Or Rudy.

Trump's ego gets stoked by having people come to him and grovel for a job that he gets to hand out.  Somebody with an actual agenda said "Pick one of these four".

I could see Moscow Mitch horse trading judges for having Trump's backside.  They've been a particular interest of his for years.

Oh, we've seen cases where they were at least close to conducting that negotiation, in public.  Trump nominates some yahoo.  Mitch makes some noise of mild disapproval.  (And never schedules a confirmation vote).  Trump quietly picks somebody from the Heritage Foundation list.

It seems un-Trump-like.  But it's certainly going on.  It stands out so starkly from the rest of his administration.

Considering that his "management style" seems to be "when things are working, **** something up, then offer to quit ****ing things up if they'll re-negotiate the deal and give you more", I'm amazed it's lasted this long.

we have been negotiating a buffer zone w/Turkey for quite a while.

More likely Edrogan simply informed him they were doing it now.....would you leave our troops?
