Guest SkinsHokie Fan
IMHO I do believe Ramsey is really hurting. Its quite obvious all those hits he has taken this year has taken a toll on his body. Some of those passes he missed he was hitting perfectly at the start of the season. Something physically is wrong which is why he is missing badly on some passes
The Wicked Wop
It's called he is a second year QB.......check out Carr and Harrington....similar issues. I think we all expect a little more of Ramsey since he got off to a really good start. Plus some of this is his own doing. Fact is we need to be patient with him at this point. The Slammer
We're a tough town on QBs. If he's being this streaky next year, then we can worry. But I think we're getting more than anyone expected from Patrick at this point, and he's certainly outperforming his draftmates.
RDSKNfaithfull
He never was known for great accuracy and certainly not for touch but that can come with time. He is not hurt he is young. He has a lot of faults but he is the best thing we have had hear in a long time. Nobody was questioning him at 3-1 he will get better but we were fooled by the early success he did stink it up in the first half of some of our W's. I also feel he has a lot to do himself with all the hits he takes. He can only get better though I love the kids toughness and I can be patient and hope he can work on touch and accuracy in time. NoCalMike
Also you gotta remember, this is not a WCO that goes for high percentage throws on every down. This is a tough system on a QB especially a YOUNG QB. I believe this was Ramsey's 15th/16th start, so right now he is considered to be rounding out his first full season as a starter and since he didn't have the benefit of sitting on the bench for 3 years before being thrown in the mix, I'd say Ramsey is right where he should be. A young QB is going to make mistakes and take his licks, but he should not be run out of town yet.
inmate running the asylum
I have been very critical of the Skins coaching and underachieving players for the past 5 weeks, but Ramsey is much further along then I expected him to be for only 17 starts. The kid has taken a pounding and yet compare his stats with Delhomme, Harrington or Carr and even some veterans and he has outplayed many. And his 14 Td's to 9 INT's is impressive to me, which tells me that he can read defenses....... something many QB's never get the hang of. Those that can't usually force the ball into coverage and wind up with far more INT's than Td passes. Look at Rick Mirer who has been in the league a decade and hasn't done crap. And if Ramsey were playing in a WCO offense -- with all the dumpoff passes -- I'm sure his pct. stats would look even better. I think the future is bright when you have a good young emerging QB
Potato Sack
Think how good he would be if we had real coaches here.
