bulldog Posted September 28, 2001 Share Posted September 28, 2001 The Chiefs only have one threat on offense, Gonzales, and if the Redskins' defenses steps up and they put someone other than Sam Shade on him they should at least be in the game. I think Banks will give the team an early boost, but to maintain that something good will have to happen. If the Redskins get a quick td from Banks and the offense it could have a snowball effect for the rest of the team. If the Chiefs come out and get an early break on a kick return or Redskins turnover, then we are probably looking at a repeat of the SD game. Art Posted September 28, 2001 Share Posted September 28, 2001 I know it won't happen, but given the Chiefs have a preference for throwing the ball, and that their receivers are dinged and less than deadly, I'd man Smoot and Green on the outside with their receivers all day, and I'd put Bailey on Gonzalez all alone, using the rest of the guys to zone up on pass plays or smother run plays. We have faced them in preseason and saw the passes going to Gonzalez so I don't expect them to not gameplan for this.
