NVskinsfan
I like Betts, and the Rock, but we need a fulltimer behind Ramsey, that any defense would have to respect. Canidate is a wuss Betts need to heal Morton 3rd downs Rock becoming a legit runner have't seen McCoulough yet so the jury is out on him.
Touchdown Portis!
We need to stick with the Rock. When Ladell gets back we can use him to, but Trung sucks. One of the cheerleaders could break more tackles than he does. He needs to keep his sorry ass on the sidelines and keep his panties clean.
RAC
I think Rock is the best runner out of all of them. The only one who comes close in my opinion is Betts.
Trevor
I'm not sold on Cartwight as the regular tailback. For now he is the best of what we have till Betts returns. Perhaps Betts will show enough for the team to count on him to be the starter next year, but I think it's more than likely that we'll have to get another back from either FA or the draft. bulldog
well, with the holes we have on the DL and apparently on the OL once again, we wont' be able to use a top pick on a back. Spurrier if he returns is going to have to make do with what he has.
riggins44
I've never liked running back by committee. We need 1 featured back and stick with them. Use others for change of pace.
Pete
I have to agree with Bulldog, so what we need is the ol ball coach to make up his friggin mind and pick one guy to carry the load. Trung Hesitate is not that guy IMO, and it's a toss between Rock and Betts once he's healthy again. I lean towards Rock as many do. Why Spurrier / Jackson don't see it is way way WAY beyond me. Trevor
We don't have to use a top pick on a running back. Lots of good backs come from the mid rounds. Unfortunetly we dealt away a couple of the mid round picks for Dalton and Chase.
bulldog
Pete, the Redskins are in an embarrassing spot at RB. Here the club traded a draft choice to the Rams for Canidate and then promptly gave him a new contract. In addition the club spent a #2 pick on Betts, passing up some capable linemen that could have helped us. Now, they find out that a little known #7 draft pick in Cartwright may be the team's best option, at least in the short run Organizations and coaches don't admit their mistakes readily in this game. Cartwright is getting more carries and a bigger role each week, but the staff is going to be loathe to come out and name him the definite starter for the balance of the year. It would just raise a lot of questions about Canidate and Betts.
Dr. D
might as well throw Jacobs into that mix as a wasted draft pick.
Dan T.
Wouldn't it be nice to have someone in the backfield who's a horse and can carry 30 times a game. Someone like, say, STEPHEN DAVIS?
Trevor
Might be a bit premature to label Jacobs a wasted pick, but he was a dumb pick. What I mean is that he still might be a good pro, but we have a ton of depth ahead of him. I'm not the biggest McCants fan but he and Patrick Johnson do deserve to be ahead of Jacobs. Meaning that we took a #5 receiver over two guys who would start for the team at safety(Doss and Hamlin).
Skeletor The Invincible
No, we won't be giving any RB the ball 30 times a game. I think we have a RB on the roster already who is capable. What we need is for the coaching staff to give them the chance.
HittinSkinz
candidate sucks he hasnt broken one tackle all year... Rock fumbled but still showed me more than candidate. I saw SS bench candidate
DaRock
When is Ladell coming back? He is our running force. For next year too, unless FA or Draft takes place because we have got to get new DL! They improved today tho' I thought. Who knows how to fix our OL, coach? samuels?..get new center?... Blondie
It isn't the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog. I have never known Rock to fumble before today in all the years I have watched him. But his blocking was much improved and he pushes the defense when he has the ball. Boy2Der
I think if the rock gets a full chance without spliting time he will do great
