Craig
I still like the kid and hope he is successful. But for the first time I have my doubts about whether or not he will make it in this league. He still hasn't learned to get rid of the ball and now he is missing throws he absolutely HAS to make...and missing badly. The first throw to Coles and the throw to Garnder in the endzone were horrible throws and he wasn't getting that much pressure. If he doesn't play better in the 2nd half, this team is finished. seanskins
why are we talking about this? he is having a bad game, simple as that. He hasnt even played a full season yet, cut the guy some slack!
Ignatius J.
He has played a season's worth of snaps, and he is still having accuracy and decision making problems. It hurts, but you take your lumps and hope he gets better next season. There can be no mistake, he is not playing well enough to win right now. -DV
Zen-like Todd
SOS broke our Quarterback. Good job SOS. Not only are you not winning games, you are also destroying the young talent we need to build around for the future.
Storm
I think he would benefit from watchiing from the sidelines for a game just to gain prespective.
Ignatius J.
ummmmm cranky, steve's job is to give patrick enough time to throw the ball and to give him recievers who are open. Today, he succeded in both of those regards. You can complain about gradner's two drops, but to put this on SOS is unjustified. -DB
OaktonSkins/BushFan
Great - another offseason problem for this team. Ramsey may or may not be the real deal. But he hasn't shown us enough and, as such, we need to get someone else in camp next year to compete. If Ramsey wants it, he'll need to prove it by competing with a good veteran QB. This team's current window of opportunity will probably be closing within the next two years and we can't afford to keep gambling at this position. Guest SkinsHokie Fan
Sitting Ramsey wont do anything now. Gotta ride the horse you came with and let him make mistakes. This expierence is only going to make him that much better. Protection still has to improve

It was the accumulation of 1 1/2 years of assinine playcalls, letting him get the crap beat out of him, so now he's flighty in the pocket. Once that happens, most QBs are never the same. He broke our QB. Plain and simple.

Ramsey has ALWAYS demonstrated a propensity to hold on to the ball too long. He has ALWAYS been inconsistent since starting - hot and cold, hot and cold. Please, you are not going to hear any of the great QB's using that excuse. Should we also say that Holmgren has broken Hasselbeck this season? He's been sacked more than Ramsey. B&G
What a nutty thread. You all sure do put a lot on a rookie quarterback who did, after all, throw two touchdown passes today. No, Ramsey didn't have a great day but he did put us in a position to win the game with 3-4 minutes left. If you want to complain, take a look at our pass defenders, our fumble on the goal line, a missed field goal and our uninspired play calling. Like I said before, he may or may not be the real deal. Let's get a good veteran QB in next season to present Ramsey with some serious competition. We need to "accelerate" through this part of the learning curve. Too many really bad passes and poor decisions today and it's part of a trend developing over the last several games. luckydevil
This is his 2nd year in the league He is going to struggle. He is not going to play like an all-pro every week. Larry
And all those "tweeting birds" flying around his helmet couldn't have anything to do with it, could they. Give the kid a running game, and see how much better he looks.

I don't really know where to begin. Of course you won't hear great QBs say that. They werent broken at a young age. Many a talented young QB has been ruined by their early NFL exposure. Its not particularly rare, I dont know why you would even bother trying to deny that it happens. Hasselbeck is a veteran QB who developed on the bench over a period of years. He is not remotely comparable to Ramsey on a number of fronts. Your response is very peculiar, and generally devoid of anything relevant to my post. bobzmuda
Originally posted by airSkins96 problem is he hasn't played well in 7 straight weeks Yes, he needs to stop giving up so much cushion on the other WRs. Facetious? Absolutely. Is Ramsey doing everything he could to win every game? Absolutely not. Is Ramsey doing everything he can to put us in position to win every game. Absolutely. If 3 or 4 plays go slightly differently from other players, it's a W. If Rock doesn't fumble, W. If Thomas/Jansen could learn the Jenkins/Peppers twist after, say 20 times, W. If John Hall doesn't miss that FG, W. If Canidate doesn't drop that reverse pitchout (which we had been setting up all game), W. If Champ had any type of ball awareness, W. Etc. Etc. Ramsey is no Elway or Montana at this point obviously. But he's doing enough to put the Skins in position to win. This is the same team we've seen for the past 10 years: making enough mistakes to preven themselves from winning. Ramsey is more part of the answer than the problem.
