Meth fueled, mud covered, naked Florida Man shakes off two tazers, bites K-9 and fist fights officer then spits on another

How did you ring in your new year? Most of us did some celebrating with friends and family or joined in public celebrations. 38-year-old Donald Watts from Columbia County, Florida did something a little different.

Officers responded to a call of a man doing meth. When they showed up this guy was butt ass naked except for being covered in mud. I commend these officers for not shooting him right there on the spot. Before you guys give me hell for saying that, don’t tell me anyone is really surprised how this story unfolds after that grand opening.

To no one’s surprise he ran into a nearby mobile home. He proceeded to come out the door swinging, resulting in a fist fight with one of the officers. Which lead to two different TAZER deployments that he shrugged off as to be expected from a mud covered and naked Florida Man. He ran off into the woods and the police decided to call for some backup on this next level crazy guy.

Upon the arrival of backup which included a K-9 they proceeded to follow him. They pursued him. This maniac was in full primal mode and was waiting for them. When the dog tracked him down he jumped on it, put it in a choke hold and bit it’s ear. The dog managed to fight back and bit him on the head and the officers subdued him.

Florida woman accused of throwing human feces at landlord

OSTEEN, Fla. (AP) — A Florida woman tossed a bucket of human feces at her landlord and somehow ended up with dried excrement smeared all over her own face, authorities said.

Joanne Mercader, 59, initially told deputies that her landlord first assaulted her with excrement, according to an arrest report from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

“She took the poop and she rubbed it on my face,” Mercader told the deputy. A deputy’s body camera showed her face covered with dried human waste. Mercader’s landlord, a woman who was not identified, had wet feces on her face, the report said.

“She’s dripping with it,” the deputy said.

Mercader eventually told deputies that she had intended to toss a bucket of water on the landlord, whose name was redacted from the arrest report, but she got confused and threw the bucket of feces at her.

Mercader told deputies she knew the landlord would be angry, so she ran into the bathroom, where the landlord spread excrement on her face.

The deputy said Mercader’s story still didn’t add up.

The landlord told deputies she was met with the bucket of feces in her face when she opened the door Saturday after no one answered. She said she had prearranged the visit to Mercader’s home to look at several broken items.

The deputy is heard on video saying, “There is poop everywhere.”

“It’s a really crappy situation,” the deputy said.

I mean if the landlord had fixed the toilet in a reasonable amount of time, this all could have been avoided.

Did the toilet have to be flushed 10 to 15 times?  I heard that's a thing nowadays.

Former Mrs. Florida headed to prison for stealing mom’s Social Security checks

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. — A federal judge in Florida ordered Mrs. Florida 2016 to spend a month in prison for stealing her mother's Social Security checks rather than using the money to pay for nursing home care.

U.S. Magistrate Bruce Reinhart also sentenced Karyn Turk on Thursday to five months of house arrest when she gets out of prison and to perform 100 hours of community service in a nursing home, The Palm Beach Post reported.

She and her lawyers sought to convince the judge that she's suffered enough and didn't deserve prison or house arrest. Attorney David Tarras said that since Turk pleaded guilty in September to a misdemeanor charge of Social Security fraud, she's been harassed on social media.

In addition, Turk, who was named champion of the year by teen mentoring group Best Buddies in 2019, has lost her position on various philanthropic groups.

Turk is a conservative media commentator, and her attorney told the judge her career is dead without the ability to hobnob in the community, travel to interview celebrities for YouTube broadcasts and to host fundraisers.

She brought a check for $46,000 to court to reimburse the government, the attorney told the judge, adding that should be enough.

But Reinhart disagreed. He said that even though Turk had apparently led an otherwise law-abiding life, her crime was a serious one, and she couldn't “buy her way out of jail" by writing a check. “Choices in life have consequences, I'm sorry to tell you," the judge said. “If you steal from the government, you're not going to have a reputation as an honest person."

The judge said that as a social media commentator with a large following, Turk is well-placed to send an important message to others. “The message I'm sending is: You can't steal from the government and not go to jail."

Authorities: Woman tried to urinate on officer, attempted to run down man with BMW

(WHDH) — Officers responding to the home of Serina Maris Probus’ sister-in-law in Holiday after midnight on Jan. 1 learned the suspect was drunk and attempting to drive away with her 6-month-old baby, according to court filings obtained by the Tampa Bay Times.

Probus reportedly bit her sister-in-law on the hand when she tried to intervene and then tried to kick out the window of a patrol vehicle, prompting deputies to restrain her. As she was being restrained, she allegedly tried to urinate on the deputies before spitting on one of them, the report indicated.

After being booked on charges including domestic violence and battery on a law enforcement officer, Probus was slapped with an additional charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with an incident on Oct. 10, 2019.

Probus got into a fight with a man at a bar and later tried to run him over with her BMW, a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrest report said. She allegedly accelerated at 15 mph and struck the victim, knocking him onto the hood of her car before braking and sending him flying onto the concrete.

During an interview with deputies, Probus reportedly said that she was high on cocaine and did not remember that evening.

In a message sent to the victim following the incident, Probus allegedly wrote, “Tell Det. Murphy I hit you with the car and ima tell her you deserved it and I would do it all over again if I could.”

Police: Former pastor propositioned 13-year-old for sex in online sting

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida former pastor is accused of propositioning someone he thought was 13-year-old girl for sex online, not knowing it was actually a detective on the other side of the keyboard.

Officials said they posted an ad on Craigslist and an undercover detective “posed as a young girl online who had posted an ad to meet up.”

Investigators said Richard Logsdon, 52, responded. Records show Logsdon continued the conversation after a detective told him he was a 13-year-old girl.

Police say Logsdon asked the girl for nude photos, sex and other requests too explicit to publish.

The online sex sting occurred in 2018, around the same time that Logsdon stopped working as an associate pastor at a church in Tampa.

He was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of using a computer to seduce/solicit a child.

The church told Channel 9 Logsdon was never alone with children, and that leaders were shocked when they learned about his recent arrest.

Channel 9 also learned Logsdon was on probation after serving 13 years in prison for second-degree murder.

Stalker strips naked while victim’s husband holds him at gunpoint, deputies say

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A man broke into the home of a woman he was stalking then stripped naked while the victim’s husband held him at gunpoint, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said around 3:15 a.m. Friday, they arrived at the victims’ home and found Deron Randall naked in the living room with the resident holding him at gunpoint. Randall fought with deputies so a Taser was used on him and he was bitten by a K-9 multiple times before he was taken into custody, records show.

The victims, a married couple, said Randall began making inappropriate comments on the woman’s social media accounts several years ago and since then, she had blocked him but two years ago he had a stove delivered to the victim’s house and on Thursday, he tried twice to break into the victims’ home, according to the affidavit.

Deputies said during the most recent incident, the husband heard a sliding glass door break and confronted Randall with a shotgun. The two men struggled and the gun went off when the victim used it to hit Randall on the head, records show.

The man then grabbed a pistol and held Randall at gunpoint until authorities arrived, the report said.

Randall stripped naked and repeatedly mumbled the woman’s name while being held at gunpoint, according to the affidavit. Randall stayed still after the victim fired a warning shot into a sofa.

Florida teen installs cameras in home to prove parental abuse

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR/CNN) – A Florida mother says her daughter tried to report alleged abuse by her father for years, but no one believed her.

So, the 14-year-old installed security cameras in her home to prove it.

According to an arrest report, the teen turned over two videos to authorities.

In one video given to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, a man identified as Damon Becnel is seen screaming, pointing and even headbutting the teen.

Becnel is also seen yelling at dogs inside the home. At one point, he can be seen hitting the dog and holding an object, which was later identified as a knife, to its neck.

Later in the video, you can see the man’s daughter jumping on him, yelling at him to stop.

Becnel then shoves the girl against the wall and headbutts her.

After deputies watched the videos, Becnel was arrested on Jan. 2.

Police officers having sex on duty? It happens more than you think

Before joining the Marco Island City Council, Chairman Erik Brechnitz served as mayor and a city councilor in Decatur, Illinois.

Decatur, a mid-sized city in central Illinois, is probably best known for two things: the lysine price-fixing scandal, which was immortalized in Steven Soderbergh’s film “The Informant!”, and Howard Buffett, son of business magnate Warren Buffett, being appointed the Macon County sheriff for a brief tenure.

Certainly, not sex on duty.

Never in his political career had he heard of law enforcement officers having sex on duty, let alone three as he did on Marco Island. And to add insult to injury, one of the former officers, Neil Giansanti, received a 60-day suspension of his law enforcement certificate, prompting Brechnitz and the Marco Island City Council to write a letter protesting the decision.

“I was on the city council of a pretty good-sized Midwestern city for 10 years,” Brechnitz said. “I was the mayor of that city for 4, rode on third shift with those officers. Nothing like that ever came close to happening. We’re were told that it was not incredibly unusual behavior, and I don’t believe that.”

But likely much to his surprise, the Sunshine State has had hundreds of known sex on duty cases.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s automated training management system even has a code — 7302 — for that.

Brechnitz was incensed the state’s Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission agreed to a suspension and probation for Giansanti, who was caught on video putting his pants on outside of his squad car. A woman he was involved with estimated the two had about 20 sexual encounters over eight months, according to internal affairs documents.

State statute offers the commission, which manages and hands out discipline for moral character violations, the ability to issue a penalty of suspension up to revocation of an officer’s law enforcement certificate for having sex on duty.

“It appears that you believe that this man is morally, ethically, and judgmentally qualified to serve and protect the citizens of Florida,” Brechnitz wrote in his letter to FDLE Commissioner Rick Swearingen. “This is preposterous and I am personally outraged as are the citizens of Marco Island. The notion that his man can carry a gun and a badge in another community in our great state boggles the mind.”

Giansanti’s punishment, however, was not uncommon as 15% of all complaints received commission-issued suspensions, according to disciplinary data from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The commission accepted internal suspensions handed down by local agencies in 5% of the complaints.

In about one-fifth of the cases, officers had their certifications revoked by the commission.

“The Commission does not typically revoke for the charge of sex on duty when the relationship is consensual and the officer took no law enforcement action to initiate or foster the behavior,” the Florida Department of Law Enforcement wrote in a statement to the Naples Daily News.

City of Lakeland closes portion of park because of snake orgy

Officials with the City of Lakeland have taped off an area of Lake Hollingsworth after residents noticed a large number of horny snakes.

“Regarding snakes spotted on Lake Hollingsworth near the roundabout,” began a Feb. 13 Facebook post on the official City of Lakeland Parks & Recreation page. “It appears they have congregated for mating. They are non-venomous and generally not aggressive as long as people do not disturb them. Once the mating is over they should go their separate ways.”

The snakes appear to be native water snakes, however some residents have pointed out that a water moccasin nest was also spotted in the same area.

“While we cannot rule out the presence of other species being in that location or other locations around the lake we believe the water snakes have congregated in that area as they seem to do yearly,” continued the post.

The City of Lakeland has since placed caution tape around the area and has plans to also hang signs warning the public about the snake orgy.

Man with no pants rants in Jensen Beach

JENSEN BEACH — A man was arrested after being accused of rants and “walking down the street with no pants,” a report states.

Martin County sheriff’s officials Feb. 9 went to a mobile home park in the 3800 block of Northeast Indian River Drive after a report of verbal threats being made.

A 24-year-old man said he was at home when a man started beating on his door, calling him a “child molester” and wanting to fight. A woman pulled the man away, but he apparently returned.

Deputies reported the man, a 30-year-old Sebastian resident, smelled of booze and looked “extremely intoxicated.”

Extremely intoxicated is a state of mental impairment that many enjoy and pursue on Friday and Saturday nights with friends.

The man “would begin talking about different incidents, and would just randomly start yelling and cursing,” a report states.

The man also was accused of “walking down the street with no pants.”

Pants, also known as trousers, are an outer garment that covers the lower portion of the body, including the legs but excluding the feet. Often secured by a belt or suspenders, pants feature pockets and individual portions for each lower extremity and come in a variety of lengths.
