youngestson
I strongly suspect they will be more than happy to use that law when it's on the right type of citizen.

youngestson
I suspect he means "independent-minded" in the sense that their opinions and world views are similar to his. So in a way, they are like their large city counterparts in that they have to take politics into mind, but it's a different political mind-set.
Larry
And part of my point was that "independent minded" is not exactly a synonym for "Republican".

They usually have a different perspective than someone appointed. I guess you mean city cops don't care about individual rights. 🤓

China
Florida man brought loaded gun to Central New York airports twice this month: TSA A Florida man brought a loaded gun to Central New York airports twice this month, said the Transportation Security Administration. The man was arrested Wednesday morning at Syracuse Han**** International Airport after he was caught with a loaded gun at the checkpoint, said Lisa Farbstein, TSA’s spokesperson. The man claimed he didn’t know he had the gun with him, she said. The man’s name was not released. The Syracuse Police Department could not immediately be reached for comment about the man’s identity or charges. The arrest came weeks after the man brought a different loaded gun to the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport, Farbstein said. “Can you believe that he was caught 21 days ago with a different loaded gun at (the Ithaca airport),” she wrote in a tweet. “Both times he claimed he did not know he had a loaded gun with him. Seriously?!” Click on the link for the full article
tshile
“Several Colorado sheriffs say they won’t enforce a new gun law that will allow for the temporary confiscation of firearms from individuals whose dangerous or threatening behavior raises a red flag.” then don’t be sheriffs. that’s your job. If you don’t like it go do something else wheres all the “just enforce the law” dumb dumbs?

tshile
VA has a weird thing going on post-election where dems won the state legislature... counties are declaring themselves “2nd amendment sanctuaries” these are the same people that got upset about the idea of “sanctuary cities” years ago with the immigration stuff (and you can guess who’s going to be upset about the 2nd amendment sanctuaries)

I get what you’re saying but seeing politicians be pro-active instead of re-active is nice to see. Wish they were this forward thinking on other topics. Wish they were this forward thinking on other topics. I feel like it’s simply fear mongering. Although, it does appear that delegates have written bills to prohibit the ownership of assault rifles and large capacity magazines in addition to universal background checks. Not sure how likely they are to pass. It would be ironic if a mass murder occurred in one of these 2A sanctuary cities (whatever the **** that means).
