NoCalMike
I just don't get it. Last season he was a default #1 reciever going up against a team's #1 cornerback and he seemed to make more impact then this year when he seemingly should be putting up bigger numbers. Are the Skins just facing some pretty good Defenses out there, or is Gardner just dissapointing!?!
Skeletor The Invincible
This whole offense is disappointing so far this year.
TK
Kinda hard for Ramsey to see the field when the O-line keeps on letting defenses knock the sh!t outta him.:shot: :hammer:
JMac
The thing I noticed more is that the receivers yesterday were running longer routes than the protection time was allowing. Coles was consistently open as was Taylor Jacobs when he was in. Gardner's route running is pretty sad also. He does not have that crisp cut move to shake a defender. He more or less rounds off his routes instead of cuts and turns.
SnydertheHun
We are playing the wrong WRs. We have four guys who can really run, Coles, Jacobs, Johnson and Russell. As much as I like Gardener and McCants, if we are going to stop the blitz, then we need to be in a position to really punish the defense if they don't get there immediately. The players above put a llot of pressure on opposing defenses with their speed. It would take more than guts to blitz two safeties when there are 4 WRs who can go the distance if they touch the ball. Bang
because the quarterback generally has much less time than is needed to run a pattern to throw the ball. Most of our passes anymore to wide-outs are screens, and even then on those quick drop -quick passes, he still gets hit and has guys hanging all over him. Give him time, and Ramsey CAN rip defenses, and we know it. And if he can get that time, Gardner can be invaluable. ~Bang
DeathByLinebacker
SnydertheHun, we saw a lot more of Patrick J and Taylor J late in the Dallas game. I think that's going to become a trend as I agree with you, we do need to put our faster guys out there to make other teams pay for blitzing us. KirkNC
Gardner has given up. He should not be on the field. Watch him, he does not look back to Ramsey, he does not adjust to the blitz, he rarely even finishes the a route at more than a half jog. He absolutely should be yanked off the field. Talent or not if you have mentaly checked out you are no longer an asset.
mhd24
Gardner was wide open on a crossing route wen Ramsey missed on fourth down play to Coles. If you saw the replay, just as Ramsey threw the Ball, Gardner was 5 yards from the nearest pattern running wide open.
NoCalMike
P. Johnson & Jacobs had some big catches yesterday. I would like to see that trend continue.
